Holy cow, awesome. I just pulled over to check the score after not having cell service for two hours. I certainly missed a couple of exciting days.
Go Vols!
I live here.
We need to make a regional.
Waiting to see what happens to the RPI, didn't get much of a boost from the previous win...
we are at 6-12...missouri, sweep puts us at 9-12...not likely, but...possible...
going to come down to Georgia, not necessarily to make Hoover but the outcome of CDS and post season in general.
Win 2 of 3 against Missouri
Lose 2 of 3 against Florida
Win 2 of 3 against LSU
Puts us at 11-16
does taking 2 of 3 from Georgia get us in a Regional? Sweep? A sweep definitely would I think, 14-16 in SEC play.
I hope my math is correct.......
NCAA investigating vandys Scholarship structure?
I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong...and I want you too...because I'm going to enjoy the crap out of the win...but...
CDS is 6-10 versus CTC and has won 2/5 series versus him.
On the surface, that doesn't seem all that good, but I think if one was to look at all of the coaches in the SEC versus Corbin, not too many would have a better record than CDS.
Point being, even with the advantages that everyone recognizes or doesn't...
CDS is a really good coach.
His handling of the pitching situation and your problem with him using Cox is exactly what I'm talking about.
If he would have put Kane or Lipinski in the game yesterday we lose. Had he done it today we lose.
I've never seen a pitching coach be as careful with his pitchers as Serrano...we have not one pitcher that has a complete game...Camp from Auburn comes to mind...so when he put Cox out there today I was surprised, but if that's what it takes...that's what it takes.
And...Cox is a senior and that was a showcase for him.
I have seen CDS overuse no arm until today
The only way he gets a pass if cox has told him he has no interest in pro ball and is entering the real world a month from now
Winning today wasn't worth risking his professional future IMO

Normally I would say agree to disagree and move on.
That's a pile Bruin...if Cox doesn't make some noise his chances of pitching past this get slimmer and slimmer.

Whether or not it was right or wrong by CDS and whether or not Andy's arm was about to fall off, I can almost guarantee that Andy Cox told CDS before the game that he could go today if needed. JMO
Time will tell and I hope it all works out for everyone.....because we need Andy the next month and beyond.
So you are saying 7-8 more wins?
7 more wins and he should keep his job for sure IMO but that wouldn't make a regional without a long trip to Hoover

Pitching today was irrelevant for his pro career on the positive side
He is already a senior sign draft and will likely get next to nothing in terms of $.
His only shot to make any $ at all is to make the big leagues. Pitching today could only hurt that not help it
That is absolutely ridiculous...he pitched 1.1 inning.
