This is actually the problem I had with The Waking Dead and Lost. Both great shows but I couldn't really pinpoint that awesome character that really defined the show

I haven't watched Season 4 yet, so I stopped reading your post, Cdywolfe. I can see the transformation you're talking about. He ran over those two dudes, and made Pinkman kill the lab assistant. Cold-blooded. I need to get going on season 4 quick.

Kevin Arnold would be my honorable mention. Wonder Years reminds me of the summer when I would also watch Nick at Nite's Block Party. Good times.

Jesse is awesome. I'll give you that. I also like Walter Jr. The adults: Skyler, Hank, Walter, and whatever Sky's sister is named are all immature a-holes.

There are great minor characters, too. Like Saul. But for the most part the main characters aren't very likable.

That was the first episode of SH I ever saw. The Conest was the first episode of Seinfeld I ever saw. Both hooked me solid.

And to stay on topic; I can't bring myself to make out a list yet but I have to throw out this name;
