I'm just going to say it despite what others say..... I've always felt Kelly was a little stale. I don't think he's a great coach... Just a good to very good coach. Not top tier.

I have always felt he is a VERY GOOD coach.
He won 10+ games at Cincinnati. That is good coaching.

Being "very good" should be good enough to sniff a Natty at LSU with the easy access to a huge reservoir of talent.
I still don't know how good Les Miles was. He must have been very good, but I never got the impression of greatness. Gene Chizik and Orgeron won fluky Nattys. They were not great coaches.

We'll see. Kelly has far more talent than ever before, but the competition just went up by an order of magnitude. I didn't see great execution on offense last night. The Tigers were not sharp.
If he is a great coach it will be obvious by the end of his 5th season.

SEC This Morning had an interesting factoid. SC’s O Line only had two starters back. When their experienced tackle went out early, the rotation was relying on transfers from Yale, Western Illinois and UNC-Charlotte. Didn’t work against UNC and it dang sure won’t cut it against good SEC teams. Georgia and UT in September. Rattler may not make it past Georgia.

They can hate Mushchamp all they want but he recruits in the trenches... had two starters graduate from last year's team and one other sustained a serious knee injury in the spring. Not sure when he's coming back but with the additional injury Saturday, they are gonna be thin. They might struggle this weak but are gonna flat out get killed next week.

I thought both teams were overrated as far as rankings go so this game didn't tell me a whole lot other than proving LSU's overrating. We will see how good FSU actually is as the season goes on. Looked good though versus LSU.
