It is amazing how people can jump all over someone by posting replies that attack the intellect and enthusiasm of peers. Last time I checked the sea of Orange is built on many different colors. There are all types of UT fans - and we should be grateful and embrace each and every fan who take their time to contribute their opinion to this board.
Maybe some do not agree with the author of the opening post. Is that any reason to berate them with condescending and patronizing remarks? I don't think so.
Maybe some feel as though they are more intelligent than the author, but I'd be willing to bet that a large majority of members never even considered the idea that the author may be from a different country or may have English as a 2nd language.
I hate the thought of someone joining a membership in order to be a part of something they enjoy, only to get made fun of or picked on by those they want to be friends with.
I love to talk with any Tennessee Volunteers fan, especially those fans who truly believe our Vols can be the best in the world, regardless of secondary variable!
I believe reaching the pinnacle of collegiate football requires the belief of every coach, player, administrator, and every single fan. Alienating fans who show their pride and belief on the program is what we don't and will never need.
Personally, I believe our boys and coaches are capable of delivering a 9-10 win season, but it requires the belief and support of everyone. It also requires our fanbase to be united. We should welcome all Vol fans, new or old, homegrown or out-of-towner, and do our part to take care of our own - no matter where they call home.
