That’s pretty elaborate. Spending his whole life creating a diversion only to kill a bunch of people at 64.

The murderer is certainly one strange and elusive dude.

The murderer visited the Philippines where there is a large muslim population, and married a female from that country. He also visited the Middle East, where the radical muslims thrive.

There’s definitely something more to this story though. Why hasn’t there been any video footage of him released at this point? Just a 2 second clip of him entering the hotel at any point? The news media always gets clips of actions like that within a couple days when there is video surveilence. This beyond weird.

Where did he get all the money? Seems odd that he started planning long ago to be a successful gambler as a cover.

Doesn't necessarily prove that their were two people there...The person taking the order could have assumed 2 people based on his order...

Which really isn't a lot of food, a burger, a bagel and a bowl of soup

I've never anyone ask me when I was ordering, how many people I was ordering for, and if your ordering room service, do you think he handed the phone to the other person...I've never seen that done either

not really, what did I leave out....

1st divorce you lose 1/2, then a second divorce you lose another 1/2, so he's down to 25%, and if was divorced later in life, the pie is even larger that he's dividing...

say he made 100k a year and worked 40 years, he's still only grossed 4MM in his life, and he's had to live out of that, and give a lot of it away twice....

Marrying a Filipina is not all that rare. They are beautiful women, and many are so desperate to get out of there that they will marry a pimple faced Jerry Lewis look alike just to get to the Big BX. Saw it happen alot when I was stationed there. The Mooslim problem was not as big when I was there in the late 80s, but it was growing.

Indeed. I still can't find the link that reported on the room key being used while his car wasn't there. As you say, the camera footage will show all. I guess we will see.

money was from whoever that funded him. it doesn't even have to be a direct funneling. the whole its not what you know but who you know.

Had he been gambling that long? I know since retirement, but not sure if thats something he picked up then or if it was something from his life.

Working in the built environment I know a bunch of people this type, obviously he has some differences from them, but the ones I know don't retire. they just stop doing the crap work and do what the projects they want. at least the successful ones.

like most everyone is saying there is something fishy here and a lot of the questions bother me.

Interesting... I wonder what is so irrational about asking why he has the lack of scruples to shoot hundreds of civilians, yet decides to turn the gun on himself instead of going out in a blaze of glory and take a few cops with him?

Also, has the LVPD figured out who took those crime scene pictures yet? Seems like that would be a relatively easy mystery to solve if you assume that you are treating the area like a crime scene and cameras are allover the floor.

Appears they found a dope sheet in his room with calculations for targeting the festival. Wonder if he’d been using a rangefinder to plot the whole area out.

But it doesn’t make sense unless he was planning on sniping. Near full auto with a red dot sight would make that almost useless. Maybe Hog or GV can verify that.
