If these rumors are true I would be furious that boosters and athletic department employees can't keep their mouth shut. Seriously, as a Tennessee fan do you want the handful of people who actually know something to run their mouth to some jack-wagon who is going to post it on the internet?

I don't believe these rumors are true, I am just saying I want a little professionalism out of our athletic department and boosters.

Bite me jack wagon, you come on here for info and then bite the hand that feeds you. what a jerk. Dooley already knows and has known, He was agreeable and wants out, thats a fact. The only thing left was for hart to save the players and especially the seniors their season, by keeping quiet until necessary so he can try to manage that. Nobody wants to play for a lame duck coach

If true why would you not announce a new coach so he can start recruiting now while Dooley or a interim coach finishes the year.

That would be a PR mess. With the things that have went on past few years. Let's keep this as neat and clean as possible.

That's all your going to get on this website. Dave Hart is not going to make an account and start posting concrete info on a message board. Appreciate the info, enjoy it, but also take it with a grain of salt. It's all in good fun. I know one thing. When "sources" in the AD Office say a player is about to be the next commitment, it usually happens. Where there is smoke there is fire. Chill out and enjoy the ride.

Exactly.......:hi:

Can't have that many coaches. Plus, why would Dooley or any other coach working for Dooley want to work their butt off for the next month knowing they're going to get canned?

So that averages out to what... 5.71 million a year? Seems a little high to me, I know we are wanting a home run hire but with that much money he better be paying his assistants out of his check book.

This is my understanding too. Dooley has irritated some folks and knows it.

What does any of this have to do with my complaint? I wasn't complaining about rumors on a message board, I was complaining about people in the know running their mouth. I would also like to know where you got the information that Dooley knows he is on the way out. Did you just make that up?

There is no deal that Gruden has accepted at this point. Also no word of a Presser .. but he may get better info than me.

Urban did it last year. I would be more worried about the future of Tennessee football then the PR.

Do you think the players would rather he finish the year, or do you think they are done with him? I get the feeling that the locker room is split.

40 million for 7 years is $5.71 million per year which would make him the highest paid NCAA coach.

Seems like this is going from a fishy story to str8 bull$h!T. I'm for Gruden and all but making him the highest paid doesn't make sense. 1 Super Bowl and a 4 year lay off, I would assume u offer to somebody that has won 2 out 3 NC

Apparently he and hart had a pretty major blow out about 2 weeks ago in which an agreement was mutually reached by both that the derek dooley era is over.

This is why you have heard this being said on this message board and the radio by local media that regardless of the S.C. game he will not be back. The annoucement however wouldnt be made until a coach was in place and ready to annouce.
