7th ranked class on Rivals

Look for Ralph Williams to end up at Ole Miss, Eddrick Loften will either switch to USC or not make it in because of grades, & J.C. Copeland will switch to LSU.

We HAVE to get Damien Robinson on campus this weekend & get a commitment out of him, we really need to land James Stone.

I'd love to land Ambles & Rogers but right now I'm more worried about getting good caliber player's in positions of need. We cant get the playmakers the ball if we dont have some good OL blocking for the running game & pass protecting. Championship defenses are built from the inside out & losing Brandon Willis & more than likely Copeland is really going to hurt us. We need depht at DT very bad.

Im excited about a few players out of this class ( Bray, Neal, Hunter, Milton, & Palardy ) but we really didnt do as good as we needed to in position of need.

Jmoore, nice avatar btw. I agree that we didn't do as well as we should as far as getting OL, but I do think that what we are getting is good, plus we have some players that redshirted last year that will contribute this year. I think we'll be okay. We did get depth in LB, I'm pleased with that. Our D-Line is hurt by losing B Willis, BUT, we got some quality ones. This class will be the class that is remembered as "well, it could have been a lot worse." I'm glad that Dooley was able to salvage what he did, and I think that he will make a statement this year. I'm excited to see what happens in Spring practice.

I would like to see us keep Loften and add Clark as well, simply because we need the DB depth as well. OL, LB, and DB was really our problem this year. I feel like LB got filled, OL, so so, and DB...we'll see how it ends up.

Something we need to remember...some of what we call reaches, Nick Saban makes a living off of, especially Tennessee 3 stars.

TNHopeful, the way it looks right now is that Copeland, Ambles, R. Williams, Glen Staley, E. Loften, & Dave Clark are either going somewhere else or having grade issues. We need to get Delvin Jones back, has their been any word on him? I know him & Williams are close & both like Ole Miss but I thought I read somewhere that he was going to recommit to UT. I'm really trying not to be a star looker & not judge players by it but with the way this class may end needs wise I just dont like it. We have plenty of playmakers but where the games can be won or lost we didnt do what we needed to in those areas.

Where are you getting this from?

I know those guys are either visiting other places or have grade issues but how can you be so quick to count them out completely...like it's a done deal?

Wow...the pessimism from some people on here never ceases to amaze me

So, we have 22 now, and if we take 27, which is our max, if I'm correct....remaining 5 are.

1. James Stone
2. Da'Rick Rogers
3. Dave Clark
4. Markeith Ambles (I can dream)
5. John Propst

IF this happened...I think we're looking at a #3-4 class. And there's a very good chance of at least 4 of those 5.

This would be fun, but I hope our walk-on OL will be able to give these guys time to get open....

Ralph W. is a Goner.

Brent says he hasnt been in touch with our coaching staff for a while now.

I think we can hang on to Delvin tho.

I'd rather reach for D. Glass than reach for Propst.

Is Glass a reach?

I thought he was waiting for an offer so he could commit

No but he's a "settle"

since we miss on Cullen and Green.

and Probst is def. a "settle" since we missed on Michael Taylor and Christian Jones.

of the two ( Glass & Propst), I'd rather have the huge O Lineman from the top tier Dallas High School

We need to keep Copeland, Brown and Loften. We need to get Rogers, Stone and Robinson. Grab one more DT and add Clark, Bennet or longshot Ambles. I would be happy.

Big deal! Let me know when we get two more OL and two more DL and then maybe I'll get excited.

How can you not be excited with this staff and what they have accomplished in such little time. He might not get everything we need this time but from his results so far I will not be suprised if he pulls in some big uglies we didn't think we had a chance on. Go Vols and Staff.:clapping:

MOTO, sorry to come across as negative, and I know DD has been working his tail off. But without those big uglies, we will struggle. I'm still holding out hope though. We will see

Good news is if everything breaks right we can land at 5 on NSD or just outside the top five. Bad news is USC will finish ahead of us in ranking when all is said and done. They've only have 14 commits currently and are in on a slew of big time players. Florida and Texas are locked into the top two spots IMO, Bama and USC will land at 3 and 4, Tennessee, Auburn, and FSU will likely close out the top six assuming we don't lose anyone major. Worse case scenario I think we still finish in the top ten but I'm thinking the 5-7 range is where we will end up.
