8-1 Vols wonder about Nico, look to angry Bulldogs

I don’t blame the Vol faithful for turning on a guy who purposely admitted to cheating? He waiting until he was a well established and well paid pro before doing so. How can anyone blame the fans and staff for reacting that way?
It happened way before that buddy that’s what I’m saying. I followed his career as I stated. Vol fans turned their back on him long before he said such things.

I knew when Pili went out for the season that it was going to sting. He was playing some seriously good ball this season, and was in a position of leadership. A lot of the time you could see him getting guys moved around pre snap.

That is tragic then. You could say many Vol fans continued to follow him through his NFL career because he went to TN though. What about the rest of us?

I’m with you, but you wouldn’t believe it their was much larger part that’s not like us. Maybe it’s calmed down and younger fans have a different perspective but back in the day the guy mine as well had played at bama or Georgia the way he was talked about.

westwords Marvin West's piece as He sees it. Read it!
* Dylan Sampson is a gritty warrior, an NFL running back-to-be. He deserves at least an honorable mention in Heisman Trophy talk. Sampson carried a big load Saturday night, 30 runs, 149 yards. He is the second player in Tennessee history with eight 100-yard rushing games in a season. Jay Graham had 11 in 1995.

* The “elite” Volunteer defense is eroding. Someone must tell defensive coordinator Tim Banks that young linebackers are chasing decoys and leaving the middle wide open.

“We were out of gaps,” said Heupel.

The Vols actually gave up more yards per rush than they gained. Let us again mourn the injury loss of Keenan Pili. westwords
8 wins was where I thought we'd be at year's end. We'll beat UTEP to get 9 so they've exceeded my exspectations. No way did I see this roster getting 10 or 11 wins. Miraculous. Helluva job by Heupel and Co.
