Temperatures above 100 all week at Southern Hills. If I lived next door to the course, I think I'd still watch on television...

Just heard a replay of an interview with John Daly on Howard Stern - hilarious.

Hope big John makes some noise in this one.

Looks like there are some decent scores being put up. Daly and Woods both -2 at the turn. Leaders at -4 but lots of big names near the top. Should be a good weekend!

Daly just hit a massive and insane drive on 18. He's still at -3 and leading. Tiger is falling off (+1)

In the interview I heard yesterday he talked about playing the Battle of Bridges with both a TrimSpa and Dunkin Donuts sponsor logo on his shirt. :p

I heard he thought about the Big Orange once while mixing screwdrivers so I guess this qualifies as a Vols subject. Leads the PGA. Bet he smoked two cartons on the course. Rock on big John!

If Daly can lay off of the double bogeys like he did today, he can keep his head in a round. Things are always more interesting with John on the leaderboard.

They just did a segment on the heat with various golfers talking about how they would handle it.

Daly said he's going to drink Diet Cokes and smoke about a pack and a half of cigs.

He also said he'll probably drink a bottle of water but won't like it.

They play the Bayhill, now Arnold Palmer, tournament here in Orlando. I am told by people that claim to know that Daly is notorious for staying for hours on end at the Dollhouse down on 441, towards Kissimmee. A finer stable of women you will not find. Full bar, as I recall.

Daly is a regular at Horseshoe casino in Tunica. I've never seen someone go through a tray of $100 coins playing the one armed bandit faster.

Storm is already +3 for the day, and Daly is once again at the top of the leaderboard.
