I read the comments . . . They were about as honest as it gets.

I did agree with some of his comments about media reaction to Tiger vs. others. "Nobody hates making a bogey more than Tiger" Please.

Or when Tiger slams his club on the ground it is competitive fire but for others it is not controlling their emotions.

I'm sure it gets old.

Tiger's biggest character flaw is his mouth on the tee box. All those kids standing around and he lets loose with a loud F bomb after a poor tee ball. Unnecessary.

may he who has never cussed on the tee box cast the first stone...
i don't think that's the point, because we've all done it......it's more about the perception of Tiger in the media vs. his actual behavior when compared to other competitors....

the assertion is Tiger is put on a different level, and he is, and really, rightfully so.

but his "bad" behavior largely goes ignored, whereas, some other guys would not be so lucky.....

At the same time he's having temper displays the announcers talk about how he can keep his emotions in check...

I guess he keeps them in check better than most players but I agree with your last statement.

yeah, it's not that he does or doesn't lose his temper or get excited, it's the fact that he does it, forgets it and it doesn't affect him on the next shot, or hole.......

a lot of them can't do that........Tiger is exceptional at it.

I was pulling for Els when he cut it to one, but I'm really not upset that Tiger won and extended his monopoly on the golf trade. There is something about Woody that I simply find annoying.

Tiger has been fined numerous times for his foul language. For whatever reason, the PGA tour doesn't publicize how much/when they are fined, just that a player was fined

Did anyone see Boo's press conf. on Saturday? Outstanding.

I missed it, but I did notice the Cleveland logo on his camouflage golf hat as he arrived at the course. Golf needs more camo.

I remember seeing somewhere that he was the most fined player on tour, not because he uses profanity any more often than the other players, but because there is a camera zoomed in on his lips on every shot. Every dirty word offends a lipreader somewhere, I suppose.

the fact that this is the first time i've ever heard of this is exactly what i mean.......it's largely ignored, fined or not. no one ever makes anything of it.

the same can't be said of other tour players.......that's all i'm getting at.

Yeah- but when you name is Tiger Woods, you can pretty much do or say whatever you damn well please.

I do think it the wrong example to set for any kids that may be there, but when one is competing on that intensity level, the last thing you think about is what flies out of your mouth after a disappointing shot. I doubt Tiger means to, it just happens.
