#9 in AP and Coaches’ Polls

Those guys LOVE Klubnik. The way they talked about him during and after the Orange Bowl you'd have thought he beat us by 3 TDs. The same thing last night, Duke's offense all night was hitting on all cylinders and Clemson was sputtering all night and you'd have thought Klubnik was wearing the Blue Devils out.

I don’t understand it. I’m not sure he even looks like a low-level D1 QB.

Tennessee, Washington, and Penn State all finished 11-2 last year. Tennessee and Penn State both won NY6 bowls. All three had terrific seasons and returned a lot of key pieces.

Washington QB looked fantastic this past Saturday IMO.

On the rankings, we all just need to chill. The wins and losses ultimately will sort it all out.

Penn state hasn’t beaten a good team in years, Washington doesn’t play anyone, you’re right there is not enough data, but I believe Tennessee beats both, and since these polls are mostly based on last year why should they be ranked ahead of ut? And I will agree polls this early mean absolutely nothing.
Add Michigan to the list. They are way overrated as usual. Last big game we saw they lost to TCU - a team Georgia destroyed. Agree polls mean absolutely nothing this early. I’m happy with top 10 now.

Nice that we moved up, but I'm wondering what's so great about Washington that they would jump us after beating a mid-major while we beat an ACC team by roughly the same amount.

They were talking about their records last year, so, Bama, LSU and Clemson, to name a few.

Last year has no relevance on this year. We are in a great spot. Win our games and we’ll be in the playoff.

Folks need to stop inventing things to be offended about.

I can’t imagine voters not thinking their two question marks were Milton and our defense and then coming away feeling Milton is at LEAST good enough, and defense is GREATLY improved from what they’ve shown so far. After one week (albeit it’s ONE game) we look the part of a top 10 team.

I sense if we look good to great against our next two opponents we’ll keep sneaking up. Plus I’m that time we’ll get a chance to see if anyone above us doesn’t look all THAT great. Those first few weeks there’s a lot to see both good and bad from everyone. Including UT.

Swinney said the game would be a learning experience for Klubnik
He got some valuable learning experience in the Orange Bowl! I didn’t watch the Duke curb stomping of the Kitties, but did they show his parents 100 times again? Poor boy better learn quickly. Ole Dabo has tough time coaching less than the best athletes. CJH will dominate when he gets the barn full of studs. GO VOLS!

Aww...polls are fun. And if the writers and coaches waited until week 3 or whatever...there'd still be other polls we'd argue about. "Did you see where CBSsports ranked us...sonsabit****!"

Got to try and stack it with Pac12 teams because that conference is done

After we run the table and beat Bama, we will be #2 hosting #1 UGA. Once we beat the Dawgs, we will be number 1.
And then we’re going back to Washington to take back the White House! Yeeehawwww!
