9 spots left, how does the class finish up?

That's the BIGGEST load of mess I've ever read in my life. My family is from East Cleveland Ohio. E.C. is top 10 in the nation annually for crime, very comparable to Memphis, Jersey, N.O., Mia, etc. EVERYONE in the family has a college degree. East Cleveland was our motivation. You obviously have no clue.

It's not a load of mess and you are the one with no clue. Do you think that most kids that grow up in poverty get college degrees? No, it is quite the opposite as most continue the cycle with very little education.
Go read some research on poverty.

Parenting... It's not all parenting, the kid must be receptive to what's preached. But parenting has become a ridiculous joke. The level of support from home has a lot to do with it. So are you saying poor kids are stupid??? PLEASE.

Better yet, you have your opinion, I have mine. Lets keep it that way and not DESTROY this thread.

I never said the word parent or stupid. My original statement was that in most economically disadvantaged homes education is not a top priority. Never did I say that anyone was stupid or didn't care. Got it?

9 spots left?!?!? There will be nineteen spots left before it's all said and done. Kids are going to watch us get our brains beat out a couple of more times, and watch ingenious coaching moves like 17 men on the field and realize they might be better of at Grambling...just sayin.

Thanks man...I needed that

On TV this A.M. they were saying that there was a play against UGA where we only had 10 on the field. I mean really? Are you kidding me? 3 straight games where it has been an issue. And that's rather elementary, IMO. I like Dooley and the staff he has assembled, but the inability to count isn't NEARLY as difficult as out scheming Saban, Meyer, and crew. I'm just being honest.

This is why the SEC has the extra math requirement for JUCOs.

Or they might watch us play and say: "Wow! I can play better than that! I can start right away!"

they might be saying, "since TN only plays 10 players a lot of times, that's one spot less that I can compete for at TN whereas all other teams use 11 which gives me one extra spot. That means I have roughly a 10% less chance of getting PT at TN."

In light of this, we will lose at least 10 recruits by signing day.

Plus, Bama is going to trample us like a flattened elephant dung ball which will cause us to lose another 2 or 3 recruits.

Then SC is going be on us like a rooster on a june bug, which will cause us to lose a few more.

Then KY is gonna she-lack us so we will lose a few more after that.

So, we will go 5-7 and lose all our recruits and end up dropping football.

then we will fire Pearl and drop basketball.

Then nobody will come here anymore and this site will close it's doors.

then we all take up fishing and clean out the lakes and rivers and there will be no more fish.

Then people will starve.

Then the world will end.:salute:

On the bright side the Mayans predict our suffering will end in 2012.

Optimistic but realistic view of our final 11 committments if we do indeed take 28.

1. OT Antonio Richardson
2. TE/OT Cameron Clear
3. CB Derek King
4. DT Mickey Johnson
5. TE Jay Rome- Day 1 starter will help beat out UGA
6. WR Vincent Dallas
7. LB Gionni Paul
8. DT/DE Jordan Williams
9. LB Jairi Dunaway
10. JUCO DT- (Hopefully Couch)
11. SS Eddrick Loften
12. We will get a 5 star this year. Look for either a 5* RB at this spot, or DE Ray Drew, just have a good feeling about him. It sounds as if Juda Parker will be the odd man out.

Not bad...here's mine (but this seems to change slightly every week for me)...

Very high chance of landing:

(1)WR: Dallas
(2)OL: Richardson, Clear
(1)DE: Williams
(2)DT: Wright, Johnson
(1)DB: Marcus or Walls or King (still not sure what our staff is going to do with this last DB spot)

Medium chance of landing:

(1)TE: Rome
(1)LB: Paul

Might be a long shot of landing:

(1)WR: Watkins
(1)DE: Rasco

If we somehow pulled those last 4 it would set this class off...it could possibly land us in the top 10...I really think Watkins is going to pull a 5th star on Rivals

I would dang near crap myself if that's how we finished

I like it. I would put Rome in the "might be a long shot of landing" category. I'm still not convinced even though we are in his top 3. In addition, I think we find another DT than Johnson. I see a JUCO guy or someone we get in on late in the game.

The reason I believe we don't get Johnson is because of grades (JUCO route), he goes to UCLA, or chooses someone else.

He's strong, athletic, and good at blocking. He's like having another offensive linemen. Probably fills a void the coaches were looking to fill. He's a JUCO, so he's already got a little experience. He can come in more physically ready than others.

Were set at TE if we get Rome, Clear, Power, and Downs. Clear might move to oline but heck all we had was rivera and bartholomew who will never play

I'm still surprised that we are taking Andrew power!

Why?

Look at the TE depth after Stocker. Ryvera isn't a very good blocking TE.

Even if Power is only a decent blocker and a non-threat to catch the ball, he's an upgrade over no one.

Downs would really benefit if he could RS.

Clear is going to out grow the TE spot.

I doubt Rome is going to be a Vol (Hope I'm wrong)

Exactly. Don't expect Downs to do anything next year. He should and possibly will RS. Power is an upgrade in blocking schemes, IMO. Rome is a long shot, if we get him, great. Clear will get his shot, but he can play 3 different positions and TE won't be the one in the long-run. Power is a decent pick-up.

Don't sleep on the Pagan kid from Asheville NC. A UF commit, but REALLY REALLY liked his trip to UT.
