The marriage and family amendment is up for vote on MAY 8 in North Carolina. When it passes the amendment to the constitution will read " Marriage between a man and a woman is the only legal union that shall be valid and recognized in this State." It will not change the present status of homosexuals in NC.

God has ordained the marriage of one man and one woman - for the propagation of children and the welfare of families and communities. We must protect the institution of marriage as He intended it by voting YES on may 8. Please join me in getting out to vote so we can protect what we hold dear. Don't mistake my stance as one of hate...I love all Gods children and would like to lead them to Christ. Their choice of an "alternative lifestyle" however is plainly called sin and an abomination against God. As americans we must choose to keep marriage a Holy bond as established by God, or we will see judgment as a nation just as Sodom and Gomorrha.

I fully expect this message to be criticized and myself personally attacked in this forum. I could not possibly care less. My intent is to rally other Conservatives and Christians to get out and vote. We are the only southern state which has not passed an amendment defining what marriage really is. Thank you in advance for your votes. God bless you.

VOTE YES ON MAY 8!!!!

Freedom is every thing. One should be able to live their life how they choose under the law.

Secondly, having govt define marriage is dangerous, why do you want govt defining any thing with regard to the church?

In short, all you are doing is giving up freedom.

Homosexuals don't give a damn about "marriage" in the Christian sense of the word.

They just want the same rights, legal prowess, and tax breaks as heterosexual couples.

can a man and a woman get married if they can't/don't want to have kids or participate in the community?

Ill proudly admit this is a soap box issue for me. Im as big a bible thumper that is out there but I can seperate freedom and my personal spiritual beliefs. In my limited opinion, christians rely far to much on the govt to spread a spiritual message.

You want to effect change, starts in the body/temple, the walls of your church then your community.

I have no desire to tell other people what to do in their lives or bedrooms. That is their choice. Whether you like it or not marriage has already been defined by God, in His word. He invented both Man and Woman. He defined their roles and invented the union we call marriage. You don't need to believe this in order for it to be true. You don't have to believe in Him either but one day you and I will both stand before Him and give an account of our lives on this earth. Whether you believe in Him or not. Then you will spend eternity either in Heaven or Hell. We have been given free will to choose what our eternity will entail...the choices and outcomes are clearly defined. Choose wisely.

Dude, you knocked it out of the park.

I am a religious man. However, I am also a big proponent of the gov't staying out of my religion as well as my religion staying out of my gov't. A govt can't mandate morality.

Soap box quality stuff. Not in the eastern end of the country, but would vote NO everyday on something like this.

no you want laws passed to do the dirty work for you

part in bold is absolutely not true. That is your opinion based on faith. Please don't present it as fact

why should a person that does not believe in God be forced to live under your interpretation of God's law?

Why do you feel the need to force this on people?

How does it affect you life if 2 men or 2 women get married?

Yet you're voting yes and encouraging others to vote on something that would do just that.

You don't need to believe this in order for it to be true. You don't have to believe in Him either but one day you and I will both stand before Him and give an account of our lives on this earth. Whether you believe in Him or not. Then you will spend eternity either in Heaven or Hell.
Is it the government's job to ensure we go to heaven?

We have been given free will to choose what our eternity will entail...the choices and outcomes are clearly defined.
So let people choose. Don't choose for them.

so not minding your own business and voting for government to have the authority to use force to back up what you think the Bible and your church is telling you will guarantee you a place in Heaven?

are there 72 virgins waiting for you on the other side as well?
