I have seen at least three of our current commitments quoted as saying they "hate" seeing our fans leave games early.

They also say they completely understand that this Rise to the Top is a process.

My advice to all fans is to listen very carefully to what they are telling us!

Been to a lot of college games at various stadiums and fans rarely stay the entire game.

It is what it is.

If our beloved Vols are down 3 touchdowns at halftime, which is a real possibility, than I wouldn't be surprised to see a mass exodus of fans.

Sitting in Neyland last year to the very end of the Alabama game was down right embarrassing, but I stuck it out. Vol fans were outnumbered 4 or 5 to 1 in our own stadium.

I've never left a game early. I've been tempted a couple of times but always stayed until the end

I never leave a game early but I must say that leaving early is a real Tennessee Tradition. UT fans do it better than any other school.

I'm sorry people don't stay when we are up 3+ TDs against complete cupcakes. I've never left a game early until this year fwiw.

Go to a 4 hour ball game experience and leave 15 minutes early = bad for recruits.

But get on a message board and trash our current players and make negative comments about current recruits = they need to toughen up as that's just part of playing sports.

Got it.

I have never left a game early! It is like leaving a movie early. I bought a ticket for a game that has 4 quarters and intend to see it all. When a game is out of hand either way, you get to see your future players early so it is worth staying! To each his own!

GO VOLS!! Brick by Brick

That's something I'll never understand. Why would somebody pay so much for a ticket just to get up and leave before the game's over? I've only been to one Vol game thus far in my life (against UK last year) and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

So in summary, some people are idiots.

Personally, I don't care if a 17 year old kid likes it or not. I don't need his approval and he ain't getting my approval until he earns his scholly on the field, unlike these knuckleheads we got now. But, our team is getting better each week, and I am really tired of hearing about these crybaby recruits we got who are just looking for ways to de-commit. If you don't wanna be here, be a man and own up to it, don't blame it on message boards or fans leaving early. you're a joke if you do. And if 50,000 people leave the game early, oh flippin well, it cuz we are getting killed in our own stadium, that's not the fans fault...

Actually, the ECU fans hold that distinction. They are allowed to leave at halftime and return but for some odd reason, like some rousing tailgating, they don't.
