FTR, where did Angle suggest shooting a governor or particular person? Can you provide the actual quote?

"I hope that's not where we're going, but you know if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around? I'll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out."

oooh, yeah. That's a real call to violence there. It's a very poor choice of words, but it pales in comparison to the very specific death threats against Wisconsin GOP lawmakers.

Some others:

"People ask me, 'What are you going to do to develop jobs in your state?' Well, that's not my job as a U.S. senator." –Sharron Angle, May 14, 2010

"We needed to have the press be our friend ... We wanted them to ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported." --Sharron Angle, during an interview with Fox News Channel's Carl Cameron, Aug. 2, 2010

"I think that two wrongs don't make a right. And I have been in the situation of counseling young girls, not 13 but 15, who have had very at risk, difficult pregnancies. And my counsel was to look for some alternatives, which they did. And they found that they had made what was really a lemon situation into lemonade." --Sharron Angle, explaining why she is against abortion even in cases of rape or incest, July 8, 2010

I never claimed that a dem politician did make death threats. You're the one who keeps harping on Angle and drawing some kind of moral equivalency between her and those threatening WI GOP.

There's little substance to this idea; but, has anyone considered that it might have been someone from the right trying to incite violence from the left to discredit the protests?

My point, though, is that we don't know who or where it came from.

Whoever it was should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I'm sure LG has. In fact, he probably has photoshopped images of Sharron Angle working the crowds in Wisconsin, exhorting them to find "Second Amendment Solutions".

I never took such a theory seriously. For one thing, if they were going to do that, I would have assumed they would do it in such a manner as to imply it came from a union rep or something and that was not the case.

For another, Breitbart I believe was on vaca when that came out and so the supreme right wing set up artist was unavailable.

Doubtful. When the TP is accused of racial slurs and the same possibility is raised its denounced by the other side.

That is NOT a suggestion that Reid be shot.

And yes, if the left keeps insisting on suppressing freedoms in favor of their agenda then we will eventually have another bloody civil war. That is not a threat. It is a fact.

Her statement which the left obviously abused was defensive in nature. You all are the ones who want to "fundamentally transform" the country. You all are the ones opposed to individual rights and sovereignty. You all are the ones opposed to rule of law rather than men.

An analogy would be a robber protesting a home owner's use of a gun to defend his property.

She is absolutely right. A senator's job is to protect the rights and freedoms of the people so the free market can produce jobs.

IOW's, she wanted the treatment that Obama and the Dems get.

Care to provide the complete context? I'd almost bet that was her point.

So what? Those young women are likely to carry less guilt with them than those who abort their children.

the rape or incest argument is really pointless. how many pregnancies countrywide a year are we looking at? a dozen?

I used to buy all the hype about how tough it was on women who've had abortions. Then I met several who have had one, and have no regrets or problems with it. Some are even Christian. That whole line of arguments is BS.

if you have gone through the prenatal process or seen anyone go through it i can't imagine how you couldn't have some guilt about it.
