Again, the fake outrage is being manufactured in this thread. There is no grand national outcry over the LVs scoring 139 on an over matched opponent.

I am sure you can find some fan on an opposing board who says something negative but that is not exactly an representative sample.

No one should expect Uconn or Vandy fans to sing our praises. I mean come'on.

On the whole, the national buzz is much more about how rapidly the LVs are rising in the rankings and doing historic things way ahead of schedule. This road trip can go a long way in continuing the positive vibe and upward rise.

I find it interesting that some fans prefer to focus/invent a narrative about "everyone being against the LVs" versus the reality that the national conversation is about the potential (cause it is still early) re-emergence of the LVs as a national powerhouse.

Please don't quote my posts and add things I didn't say..I posted to add background for the score and reasons for the blowout, with comparisons to previous UNCentral games, while not ONCE with a focus/invention of a narrative of "everyone being against the Lady Vols"..Save your rebukes and lectures for posts that fit them..TYIA

Pretty sure that last paragraph was merely an observation, not necessarily directed at you, scoob. I find the “They HATE us, …” meme hilarious, because anyone with a national platform to analyze sporting events will have a bias unless they totally grok.

Boneyard has a thread in the general forum about UT and the “game“, even “Husky Nan” had an opinion…….a few of us barked back at the discourse they were weaving. The hate for UT still runs deep over there. I’ll prob get put in timeout again over there for my remarks. My moniker on boneyard is Darwin (Reference to Charles Darwin, just a quirky impulse).

One of the reasons I almost never spend any time over there anymore.

I am not upset because this is the way CKC coaches the game. She put in everyone but the water and towel girl. I remember when a few people were mad because Kim and Genno ran up scores. However, lower level teams know what they are signing up for when they play one of the 4 major conference teams or UCONN. CKC is trying to teach her ball players to play at a certain speed and level no matter if it is UCONN or if it Slippery Rock. Sometimes against poor competition there will be blowouts, records set and records broken. Good coaches do not dumb down their team so that poorer competition will not get blown out.

As Steve Spurrier once said: "It's not my job to stop my team from scoring. It's your job. If you don't want to be scored on, do something to stop it"

NCCU was so beaten down and demoralized by that game that they went out and beat Winthrop on the road Friday night, in their first game since the beat-down in Knoxville.

Rooster my friend, "The Boneyard" is not a friendly place for fans of the magnificent Lady Vols....They're a lot like the "Morlocks" of the movie Time Machine...They just want to eat your heart out.

Next time you venture into their realm again, give em what they deserve...
