A great day for recruiting for TN?

A Tebow-less Urban is looking vulnerable. Who knows maybe this January he will want to spend more time w/ family

Absolutely!

Even if we lose by 7 or 10.....To take 50% freshman to Death Valley and almost win. Absolutely!!!

We need to take care of business in Georgia and we can win that state in recruiting. That will make the LSU game a WIN...at least in recruiting.

On a different note: With Jacques Smith, Willie Bohannon, Corey Miller, and (We need 2 great finds at DT) I feel we have a 8 to 9 win season next year.

Don't underestimate High School kids, they are well informed. They know we are fielding a young team, we have little depth at the moment, and we do not have a complete team. If I were a recruit and see the potential and heart this team has I would be more than interested in becoming a VOL. JMO

I wonder if being a part of a rebuilding program is an incentive. You know like "i was part of rebuilding that program from the crapper to greatness." I wonder if recruits think about that

Why would you not be? We should have won the game aganist a top 10 team on the road, and in one of the hardest stadiums to play in.

because recruits want to play for good coaches, and ours looked pathetic at the end of the game yesterday

Agree with the above. What recruit sees that mess and thinks they want to be part of it?

Makes sense to you and me, but Miles has been making a career out of that kind of field command and is still doing great on the recruiting trail.

Les Miles and Mark Richt bring in great classes and they both suck. Half of our team had never played an sec road game before and Tiger Stadium is supposed to be the most intimidating stadium in the SEC. A few of our players got confused on the substitution and we got burned.

I'm convinced your a troll. And what do you know about being recruited? Exactly

the tattoo on my arm would prove im not a troll. and what would i know? well seeing how i was being recruited outta highschool to play football, more than you know probably..im not a troll, just ticked that our coach(wilcox) didnt know what the heck was going on. these are D1 coaches, not highschool coaches, im convinced we are gonna be ok with Dooley, we just cant have mistakes like yesterday.

I was recruited out of HS by Tulane, UCF, Memphis, Georgia Southern, Syracuse, Troy, and played 3 years for Savannah State, I doubt you know MORE than me. Maybe troll was the wrong word, but all the "Fire them now" or "No one wants to play for losers" talk is more than annoying.

I totally agree. If we would have won, they would all be singing his praise. I saw so much improvement on both sides of the ball. Yeah, our O struggles, but what do you expect with pretty much all new players on offense.

Very well said.

Richt will fire Bobo but I think we will still have 1 more season with him.

That means that UT should do VERY well this year finishing in Georgia.

I meant that if I was a player watching TN play on the road against a MUCH more talented and deeper roster and almost gutting it out, I would want to don the orange.

It is also good that UF and UGA are struggling majorly.

UF looks like it may not just lose to Alabama, but the chasm between their performance despite the talent they have on the roster would make me have some ?s for Urban.

Without Tebow he looks like a good coach, but not the greatest coach in the world as he did through lots of that HUGE run.

Tennessee, LSU or both teams?

Well it could apply to both.

As you point out, Miles is a mess as well and still recruits well. I'll chalk some of that up to in-state talent. Dooley doesn't some to be lighting it up on the recruiting trail as of yet and I can't imagine yesterday did anything to help. But hey, 18 year old kids probably do see it differently.
