A friend of mine in ADs office has indicated that a group of board of trustees and some big donors are lobbying for one more shot at Fulmer group..they want Fulmer, Chavis along with some big shot OC..(if not Cutcliffe)..Hart is said to be against this idea..he isn't willing to take any such back step and also is willing to give Dooley few more years..interestingly Hart likes both our OC and DC...It will be interesting to see how much longer he can handle that pressure from so called "influencial" group...!!!

Well another rumor, but I hope Hart isn't another Hamilton and can actually throw his own weight around. I know money runs the show, but I hope Hart has some back bone to doing the right thing.

We'll call this the nuclear option.

Why does the coffee button look just like the nuclear option...

Hart carries one of these around with the plans for "Fulmertration"

Does this plan also include a time portal that will take you back to 1988? And only goes one way? And, also, there's dinosaurs?

Because that would make even more sense.

I support Phillip 100%. I think what he did for this program over the years was influential in the expectations us fans have for Vol football. I hate seeing ignorant people drag his name in the mud on this board and consider those people to be idiots. Even though his last few years were rough, I focus on his accomplishments rather than his final years.

However, if Tennessee was to let another coach go, I really wouldn't want to see him back in the saddle. The expectations would be enourmous and if he didn't live up to them, it would be yet another coaching change in 2 years. No matter how much I like Fulmer, I'd hate to see that happen to my Vols.

But, who knows, maybe the firing lit a fire under his rear. I would love to see him come back 90's style and take this team to the top again. But taking a risk like that seems a bit too much.

It's rumor so not worth thinking about but I do wonder how people who supposeldy make big money could even be considered as posing this thought.

Acura my jab wasn't at him but at what you said yourself how do you undo what you did knowing you'd likely get similar results and reopen and make larger the same wound that's already there.

Obviously this is junk but could you imagine the meltdown on this board if it happened. Oh my word. Epic proportions. Volnation would cease to exist.

Actually I was told by the landscape artist that they have Majors all but signed to a new 5 year deal.. He is the true builder of the program.. He is itching to get back into the game...

Details of his pay are:
Base pay is $200k a year with unlimited supply of Jack Daniels, 5% Ownership of Ole Smoky Moonshine and a Lifetime 15% Pilot Club Discount card for slim jims and Doritos.. Only one other request ... Phil Fulmer way has to be renamed "Back Stabber Alley"....

This is the image I get.

The servers just blowing over and over again in a doomsday like scenario with freak over in the corner sobbing, just shaking his head screaming "WHY!?!!?!?!?!?" Nancy Kerrigan style.

All jokes aside them doing this might be the only way I ever stop wearing UT gear in public. We'd be the laughing stock of college sports for decades.

This is nonsense. No way Fulmer and co. ever come back.

Hart has 2 options.

1. Fire Dooley and hire a PROVEN Head Coach who will lead our program for years to come.

2. Give the Dooley experiment 1 more year to see if it actually works.
