When I saw Tennessee beat Kentucky, I started laughing. I think it was a psychological defense mechanism to keep me from throwing a large, cumbersome object at some poor soul on Chapman Highway.

Blinded by loyalty....only way anybody can even think about bringing Fulmer back. Everyone except Tennessee fans that were blind would think that would be a smart move. Geez...what kind of idiots do they have up there?

Fulmer's like the Sega Genesis. Was the pinnacle at one time, but doesn't measure up anymore.

I always wanted a Sega Genesis when I was really young.

I got a Super Nintendo instead.

Christmas of 1996 sucked ass.

And you're an expert right? Sorry, but if I was fired from a job and asked to come back I'd have something to prove. Hire him and allow him to hire whoever he wants and spend the money to make sure they come. I honestly think he's got something to prove.

Same year I got my Nintendo 64. Still own it and play games on it from time to time. One of the favorite Christmas years of my life.

I would support the Fulmer group back in the saddle if they could get things done.

I would at LEAST like to see Chavis back from LSU.

I know that if I went ten years without a title, I would be motivated and prove to people I can still win titles, which is something Phil didn't seem motivated to do.

So why does Phil deserve a second to show that he is now motivated (when we were paying him $3M a year anyways to stay motivated) when he wasn't motivated before?

The response used the word motivate. Never did I use the word motivated in my post. No, his last 10 years he did not show much motivation. However, All you people seem to focus on his last 10 years. In reality He actually won eastern division titles in 01, 03, 04, and 07. Lost to an undefeated Auburn team by 10 even with his poor recruiting his final decade. But, that's not the statement being made. The embarrassment of getting fired, at least to me, would be enough to come back with a vengeance. That's the statement that was made. Not that he needed motivation. Sorry I had to explain it as if you were a 2 year old. But when it comes to Fulmer, you all seem to have tunnel vision.
