A friend of mine in ADs office has indicated that a group of board of trustees and some big donors are lobbying for one more shot at Fulmer group..they want Fulmer, Chavis along with some big shot OC..(if not Cutcliffe)..Hart is said to be against this idea..he isn't willing to take any such back step and also is willing to give Dooley few more years..interestingly Hart likes both our OC and DC...It will be interesting to see how much longer he can handle that pressure from so called "influencial" group...!!!
Lol. Proven head coach huh?
1. Even with Fulmers awful final years he stands at 152-52 wins vs losses. That's a ratio of .745 which ranks among the highest winning coaches in football.
2. Awards include:
AFCA Coach of the Year (1998)
Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year (1998)
George Munger Award (1998)
Home Depot Coach of the Year Award (1998)
Sporting News College Football COY (1998)
SEC Coach of the Year (1998)
3. Championships and Titles:
1 National Championship (1998)
2 SEC Championships (1997, 1998)
6 SEC Eastern Division Titles (1997, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007)
Sorry, but that seems pretty "Proven" to me. And, it's a successful coach that WANTS to be at Tennessee.
Not saying he's the right choice, but please don't make a post claiming he hasn't proven himself. Thanks.
And you're an expert right? Sorry, but if I was fired from a job and asked to come back I'd have something to prove. Hire him and allow him to hire whoever he wants and spend the money to make sure they come. I honestly think he's got something to prove.Fulmer's like the Sega Genesis. Was the pinnacle at one time, but doesn't measure up anymore.

Do you even read posts before you show your ignorance?
The response used the word motivate. Never did I use the word motivated in my post. No, his last 10 years he did not show much motivation. However, All you people seem to focus on his last 10 years. In reality He actually won eastern division titles in 01, 03, 04, and 07. Lost to an undefeated Auburn team by 10 even with his poor recruiting his final decade. But, that's not the statement being made. The embarrassment of getting fired, at least to me, would be enough to come back with a vengeance. That's the statement that was made. Not that he needed motivation. Sorry I had to explain it as if you were a 2 year old. But when it comes to Fulmer, you all seem to have tunnel vision. That wasn't an answer. That was an insult. I have four siblings. I would know the difference between an answer and an insult. Yours was an insult.
