A.J Davis is a VOL

Davis is a big athletic top 150 player...besides stokes CCMs 7 recruits ONE was top 150....so to pull a top 150 guy and it seemingly be a role player is huge.

This is a guy with a lot of potential, he'll be a very solid 4 year player and with continued work can be very good.

As a fan base we should always be exited about top 150 guys.

Does anyone else get the fab five feeling eminating from this group?

Hubbs commits, then Davis, they talk to other recruits, and next thing we know we land both JW3 and Nichols. This is building up towards one of the greatest recruiting classes in school history.

Sorry I didn't see this thread before I posted mine like 5 hours later, BTO.

Not trying to start a turf war, brah.

Sorry if I should ignorant as I'm typically on the football side of things but we are we so excited about this 3* player?

Not being negative but does he have attributes that the scouts don't see or what....

Don't flame me....just asking an honest question. Thanks!
To answer your question, he improved so much in his junior season that he's slipped under the radar.
Will be rated much higher after his senior year.
He'll one of the go to guys this season at Buford.
If he fills out like his dad, he'll be a power forward that possesses guard like skills. Also excellent 3 point shooter for a tall guy.

How would we account for space if both Nichols and JW3 both wanted to come to Tennessee? Don't we only have one more spot?

A lot can happen. Stokes goes pro, one of Q, Reese, or Richardson transfers, someone is dismissed, etc. The numbers will work out. You don't turn away guys like Nichols or Williams if they want to come here.

Well excuse me for asking...

No apology necessary, it's not only you. This just really reminds me of last year towards the end when this board had a mad rush.

Posters starting new threads asking stuff already answered multiple times...if people would read the answers are usually here.

Sorry, once again not directed at you, just venting. Glad to see all the support though for CCM and the program.

Pretty productive recruiting w/e I'd say. The Martin can't recruit crowd has apparently gone into hibernation lol.

To be fair, Martin hadn't shown much besides Stokes. That was one thing I found I couldn't really argue with. BUT we all heard how hard Martin was recruiting, and it's paying off now.

But yeah, those posters have fattened up and tuned out.

It takes time to build relationships, which is paramount in order to secure elite players. Many people on here blasted CCM for recruiting Richardson and Yemi (I'm sure others as well) and all of them have proven to exceed most fans expectations. Bottom line, CCM knows better than any fan anywhere, what type guys he needs to succeed with, and he more than proved that last year finishing 9 spots ahead of where they were projected in preseason.
