So no JUCO should ever be considered a good 3 point shooter by evaluators? And division 1 coaches shouldn't rely or assume they will come in and be 3 point threats?

Edwards has done it for 2 years and in limited time this year is still doing it...why should I assume more shots and he'll all of a sudden fold?

Making a 3 in juco is absolutely not the same as making a 3 in D1. Better defense, more athleticism, more fans, bigger and louder areans, and a number of other factors than can influence shots. For all those reasons and more, Edwards has not PROVED he is a good three point shooter in D1 basketball. Yes he was recruited because he showed he was capable of shooting, but has not proved it. Respect has to be earned, not given, and so far he has done nothing to earn any respect as a good shooter.

Ok...so Marshall Henderson had no attention or respect coming into this year? Geron Johnson had no expectations from tiger fans? Chris jones won't be expected to do big things going into next year?

Ok. Agree to disagree.

Ok.

How do you not understand that there is a difference in expectations, and production? You cannot claim someone to be your best shooter just because you expect them to be. They actually have to make shots first.

Fine, I agree to disagree. Now please go get spanked by Ole Miss.

On thing that is more irritating than bto's arguing is a fan from another school on here talking ****.
Frankly, my guess is you didn't hit a bucket past 10 yrs old and have no idea about shooting, so I don't know why you are even arguing about something you know little about, much less on a rival board.

Edwards has a good stroke. At juco or ut. Its not hard to see. That's what we know.

Never argued he didn't have a good stroke. My entire argument was based upon BTO suggesting Edwards is the best three point shooter on the team when he is 5 of 13. Wait till he makes some shots before you give him that award.

He'll exceed his dad's freshman numbers at UTEP by a wide margin.

Didn't want to make a new thread or anything. It's interesting to read predictions on our class and it's funny to watch others change opinions so quickly. I think AJ Davis is a solid get, he's shown the potential of a G/F. If he can keep developing his inside-out game and uses his first step efficiently he could become a serious player. Anyone agree/disagree?

I don't disagree with anything you said. I just disagree with Martin that he shouldn't have been red shirted this year. jmo

Couldn't find his thread to bump but just think he needs to be shown some love. Follow his twitter and earlier today he had a monster game of 23 and 16 boards in a win in a tourney in Ohio. I can't wait to see how all three of our commits turns out for us.

That'd be all 4

Not what I expected.
His frosh stats make Yemi's look like a future lottery pick.

Redshirts don't happen as often in basketball as they do in football. You usually try to work freshmen in mop-up time. Hubbs on the other hand, should have been benched/redshirted as soon as it became a serious injury.
