Funny thing about Oklahoma, you can run into ex OU players everywhere..gas stations, air conditioning demo's, bbq joints, etc.

Sorry, but I don't believe any of this. It's sounds like the op wanted to get his thoughts in a conversation and wanted to use a story to do so. You are telling me he knew all of the players names? BS! And you remember everything thing he said? BS! Too obvious.

Yep, ya got me. You caught the Tater...

Let's see, knew Worley and Dobbs. Knew Pig and North. Revered to Croom as Clume and said "the tight end." Called Smith "the white boy who cant catch a pass." Figured I'd clarify instead of providing the actual transcript.

And actually, some of his thoughts were contrary to what I happen to believe.

Choose to believe or not, don't care and figured I'd share.

I ran into Ryan Leaf the other day. He was wearing a Hannah Montana sweatshirt and pink Hello Kitty slippers. I asked him for an assessment on the prospective UT recruiting class, Butch Jones as a head coach thus far, as well as possible changes in assistants, notably DC.

He contemplated the questions, took a sip from a Mug Root Beer he found in the trash, and began to tell me Jennifer Lawrence had stolen his Vicodin, and that he, not Aqua was responsible for writing the 1997 hit "Barbie Girl".

Oh, I don't deny that. But he was pretty interested and seemed like he wanted to talk about it since most folks out here like to talk about OU, OSU and how much they hate Texas.

I'm not going to stop him with pleasantries for something I'll end up forgetting anyway lol

:focus:

you needed a former okie to tell you what volnation has said all year.

this... every point is what every sunshine pumper has been saying since the org loss.. nothing new here n doubt a sooner player kept up in detail about/a school he didnt go to... :)

time will tell i said i/would wait till the end of season and still feel that way.. but i do see room for improvement from the best staff n america:crazy:

Enjoyed the original post, but while reading the other posts, I suddenly realized I was just killing brain cells and was getting dumber by the second, so logging off now to pursue other activities.

I dont doubt the story - just disagree w some points, especially our apparently super talented but young WR group. We have North, a drop off, pig, a dropoff, and inconsistency

where is ole Chad Clifton when you need him. He was on here for awhile when he was on IR with the Packers. Great insight and maybe he can opine again.

OP, I don't doubt you think you spoke with a former player that possibly had a good take. I just don't think you did.

I saw and talked to vol fan at Pilot...heck, cant remember his name. It may have been the same guy. He made you think of Gruden, like he he was his Agent or something. He asked me for some spare change or a dollar or two, but wife already cleaned me out. Glad you were able to give the guy change to get the scoop to our program.
