We take care of business. Texas takes care of A&M. We finish 3rd in the SEC In playoffs. And avoid SEC championship game and roll into CFP on fresh legs.
We’re moving up in the polls with the losses today by other teams. Even if they beat Texas, we will likely still be ranked ahead of aTm, so would Texas. Who’s going to the SECCG then? Is it the two highest ranked SEC teams? TBH, I don’t want to back into the SECCG at this point.I think A&M still controls their destiny. If they win next week, they play Georgia in Atlanta, and even with 3 losses, they can win the SEC.
We want A&M to win next week so we can get a home playoff game. 10-2 Texas with zero ranked wins would go behind us. Then Georgia beats A&M in the SEC Championship game. That would make us the 2nd highest ranked SEC team. We'll be in good position for a home playoff game in that scenario.
To be fair, it’s his first year in the SEC. Let’s not forget Heupel went 7-6 in his.Mike Elko is an Ivy League genius. Big things happening in Aggieland.
I can’t remember a time that A&M wasn’t a 4 loss team. It got their previous two head coaches fired, yet that’s where Elko has them headed again.
I THINK Georgia already has 1 spot locked down, so if theres 3 other 2-loss teams, A&M and Texas haven't played us, so it would go to common opponents, and they both beat Arky, but A&M would have beat Texas, so they go. I'm not certain a trip to the game alone wouldn't be enough to get a playoff spot, but they could definitely win the SEC and get a bye. We’re moving up in the polls with the losses today by other teams. And the way Hugh Freeze chewed the ref's asses over that terrible call is how our coach should be treating them when we get bad calls! But no! Our guy just stands there with his gaping maw wide open and his arms stretched out like some martyr on a cross! There is some justice in the world. The refs tried their best to screw Auburn and they just wouldn’t let them. Kudos to the kicker who made a couple of big kicks after being pretty shaky earlier.
