A&M, Georgia and Everybody Else

I think if TN and GA both play their A games....TN wins.
No knock on GA, there is simply no longer a separation.
You might be right. I’m pretty sure that we haven’t seen either team’s A game all season, so it’s difficult to know what their true potential is. I think GA bc I think there is still a bit of a separation regarding talent and depth across the board imo, and also probably a bit bc I’m a lifelong Dawg fan. I do think the gap between or programs has closed some, and TN is very strong in some key areas like their D front and Sampson. Really the running game in general for you guys has been very strong.

Like others have stated though, we have two games before we meet. We will know more after these, our opinions could change before game time.

Had to give you the upvote even though I disagree bc your opinion is reasonable and I respect it.

I live fairly close to Athens so I'm obviously surrounded by dawg fans. Had a lot of fun with the give and take over the past 30 years. Glad to see the current ride that GA's been on come to an end. (fingers crossed)

I can relate to your position. I live back in South Georgia now, so I have to deal with tons of FSU fans. It probably isn’t as bad as being in the middle of a true rivals territory but they are still annoying sometimes. I thought it was going to be fun to shut them up last season but honestly that game was just sad. I think our rivalry might get some new life again in the near future. I loved the buildup to our game in 22, and welcome that atmosphere in the future.

Had the expansion not happened and divisions stayed, the UT-UGA rivalry would have gotten absolutely huge assuming UGA maintains its position and UT continues its upward trajectory. Some kind of mix between the old UT-UF rivalry and Bama-LSU during the 2010s.

Typical massive overreactions after one week. I remember something like that with us back in Kiffins year. We beat Western Kentucky 63-7 in his first game and score predictions were common of 42-0 etc by our fans the next game against UCLA.

We lost 19-15 i believe and looked horrid.

Right now, UGA, TX and the Vols are on the inside track to the playoffs.

Bama, Ole Miss, A&M and LSU are on the outside looking in.

Bama has to win out and hope the the Vols, TX or UGA lose two more, so they are essentially toast because the team that is most likely to lose 2 more is UGA, and that is highly unlikely.
Ole Miss, A&M and LSU have to win out to have any shot.

It’s weird how much they were hyped up after beating lsu then literally everyone had them laying an egg today.
This season in the SEC is just bizarre. Xfer portal has leveled the field and it’s all about matchups every single week.

Vols fan in Aggieland, All this past week, I reminded my Aggie friends what happened two years ago when Tennessee went to Columbia in as similar situation. They basically laughed and said not us.

"This is a real program," Elko said in his postgame news conference. "It’s not fake, it’s not a politician running this program talking fast and BS'ing everybody. This is a real program and for all the recruits out there, this is a real place and if you want to be really good at football, this is a really
good place to be.”

You're forgetting the SEC championship game. TX/A&M or TN/GA winner, one of those will = lose in the SEC championship and no longer be a lock.

I think the loser will still make Playoffs. You will likely need to be 7-1 in the SEC to make it. That means the loser will likely be 11-2. A&M might be the only exception.

Clark Lea isn’t leaving Vandy. He’s an alumni and they will pay to keep him. I’ll get bashed for this, but we deserve to be left out at 10-2 due to our weak schedule. Shouldn’t have lost to Arkansas or we wouldn’t have this problem. Reed looked great last night, but now opposing defenses will prepare for him. We’ll see what happens.
I can't agree here. ND has played no one, G5 team ? BYU. At 10-2 we would deserve consideration. Indiana hasn't played a team with a pulse yet. Beating Bama is still more impressive after they drug Georgia like they did, Florida looks better today because without losing Lagway they probably beat GA. Just saying there is a flip side to everything. IF we lose to Georgia in a close game we deserve a spot imo.

I would like to see Tennessee play Texas or Texas A&M in Atlanta in the SEC Championship Game.
I would just like to see us there period lol. The way our receivers, OL and FG kicker are playing right now still leaves me nervous about every SEC game ahead of us. Man if we could put it all together, we would be special. Even if we just made half the catches we drop, half the kicks we miss and allow half the sacks/pressures we allow, this team would be undefeated and rolling.

For Tennessee to get a real "fair" shake, they need to win out. Plain and simple. Anything other than that is going to leave it in the hands of someone that will not look favorably at them. I think after all the dust has settled so far, Alabama remains the only ranked team Tennessee has beaten. That will go against them if they don't win out.
