A&M (not) hiring Mark Stoops

Stoops is probably the most under rated coach in the SEC. Does more with less. Always had a stout defense at UK, and occasionally a great offense.

Everyone wants the flashy name like the Lincoln Riley or Lane Kiffin or Dabo, or whatever, but Stoops will be solid.

I think he will have success at A&M. Will he recruit well? We will see.

But I like Stoops. I'll be interested to see who Kentucky hires. I don't see them getting much better than Stoops.

Without Stoops, the mildcats will return to the cellar of the SEC. I dont see anyone significant wanting to go there to coach and I dont think they will pony up the money.

This reminds me of Franklin going to Penn State…except Tennessee will still have to play A&M fairly regularly.

I think good move for Stoops and the toothless meth heads in Lexington will think they’re entitled to some top notch coach…ain’t gonna happen.

Silly rumor. aTm will hire a nobody with a high ceiling. He’ll fail in 3 years and the donors will go through what all UT fans know…

I wanted him when we hired huepel. His track record says he can stabilize a program. Now winning the sec ans heading to a playoff. Not sure. But soon it will be top 8 or 12 teams go. So easier to make it.
Why? Stoops has beat a Butch Jones & Jeremy Pruitt in years they were fired. That’s it.

University of Kentucky has to be pissed and blown away at the same time. They stuck with stoops through all of those ridiculous losses and now he bails for a better job 😆. I think mark will do pretty well at TAM. Solid guy and decent football coach in my opinion.

Stoops won't have the excuses anymore. He's an ok coach, but the SEC east has been down during his most successful years. He is a 7-5 coach. Maybe 9-3 with A&M talent. He is a lateral move from Jimbo, but to make this move has cost tens of millions if not hundreds now.
