I don’t think it would. The only way I could see it as being acceptable is if one of the teams had to pull out of the CFP and they had to bump up Notre Dame or something like that. Even then, I think they would just push the game back or make the team with Covid issues forfeit.

I somewhat suspect that programs with somewhat more disappointing seasons and low to mid tier bowl games are more likely of getting covid. Guarantee Alabama or Georgia will not get it. Tamu now doesn’t end a season at 10 am against Wake Forrest. I’m sure they are as devastated as we were last year.
