Sub in Texas so the aTm heads explode.
This.
Perfect
As it should be and I’ll go one further . The NCAA should have this as a comprehensive policy for ALL sports & all participants instead of the current piecemeal arrangement that varies by conference affiliation . If this were the case chickenshart coaches couldn‘t use it as an excuse to weasel out of a game an hour before tip without taking the L .
That’s a totally hypothetical scenario regarding a coach weaseling out of a game at the last minute btw , I don’t believe that any coach would do something like that .
It’s not the Impact to the resume that is of concern . I’m not saying that Coach 1 cent intentionally did a COVID flop. I’m also not saying he didn’t but there should be a comprehensive policy where if you can’t play you forfeit in the event that if a coach and or program decided to COVID flop they would be held accountable in the form of taking the L. If it’s a legitimate outbreak , which this may very well have been since UM also had to cancel their game with Alabama St then I still think the team unable to compete should have to forfeit if a rescheduling is not possible .I take it you're referring to the Memphis BB game. If Memphis was forced to forfeit what would that do for UT? Give them a "quality" win? Anyone with half a brain cell would look at UT's resume and see that UT & Memphis didn't play. I'm not sure what a forfeit would do for UT's resume.
