A question to the Peterman Fans out there

Jabari Greer will retire from the Saints and discover two years of collegiate elegibility remaining. Butch will put him at qb and we will run the "Jabari Cat" in 2013 rendering this discussion moot. I have sources in the Gruden camp who back me on this and i am 100%.

Also, Erin Andrews and Eric Ainge know this as well. They've been told to keep it on the low low.

I'm not saying Peterman won't be great one day, I hope he is. But anyone that dismisses Worley as not being very good or not having any talent based on being thrown to the wolves halfway through his freshman year with no Hunter and NO run game is...uninformed to say the least. When he didn't play against a top ten team as a freshman, MTSU, he looked pretty good. When he stepped for Bray this year against Vandy, he looked pretty good. Butch is not installing a vertical passing game so arm strength argument is invalid. Besides, most of us should know accuracy > arm strength 10 out of 10 times. I personally believe Worley will not only start but thrive in this offense.

After which of his game performances last year, where you ready to proclaim him next years starter?

Assuming that Bray would indeed declare for the NFL

The goal all along was to redshirt him. He's a very talented athelete that has all the intangibles to be a really good QB. He is a true student of the game and is a great leader. You might want to check out some of his high school footage. There was a reason Dooley wanted to save his eligibility. They were really high on the kid. You don't blow a redshirt on a player that has a proven player ahead of him (bray). Just curious...but what game did Worley show you that he's going to be a stud?? If you saw one...I must have amnesia. I think he's a great kid and hard worker, but potential star?.....I'm not so sure. The 2nd string QB in most programs are not locks to be future starters. Talent and ability usually rise to the top of depth charts.

There will be a competition for the starting job and the winner will be the one that best fits the system. At any rate, the staff will go with the guy they think gives us the best chance to win. :twocents:

It doesn't matter who starts, this team will do well to get 7 wins next season.

Too many question marks on defense and too many holes on offense. Jones needs to surround either QB with play makers to be effective.

Arm strength is not just for deep balls, it also gets the ball to the WR quicker and helps with keeping the D from making a play on the ball...it allows you to squeeze the ball into tighter windows

Agreed. I believe Worley's arm strength will suffice.

i'll tell you why i think Peterman will be the starter. He's mobile and his style of throwing (not being one of those wind-up guys) doesn't give the defender much time to react at all.
