We have discussed the Bruce Pearl situation ad infinitum. Now, it appears scandal is coming to the program run by the biggest phony in college basketball. Baylor assistant Matt Morefield sent a text to the high school coach of Hanner Perea essentially threatening to have the kid deported back to Colombia if he didn't sign with Baylor. Gary Parrish has the gory details in his column today. I can't believe someone like Scott Drew, who would have you believe he sits at the right hand of God, would allow this to happen. Must be a mistake.

It's someone that works for Scott Drew. I'm not in the least bit surprised. RC Johnson considered the guy too sleazy for Memphis. That speaks volumes.

That's really a great job of representing an institution of higher learning. If this is proven and Morefield remains employed for more than 30 seconds after it is confirmed, Baylor's alums should demand wholesale changes in their adminsitration.
