I missed your admant and unequivocable denial that the coach threatened the kid with deportation if he did not sign with, "Bayler" - whoever that is.

Could you go ahead and offer that denial, now, or do you just want this to slowly devolve into your mother sobbing over her addiction-laced pregnancy?

As far as any of us know he probably did threaten deportation...I'm sure the NCAA will check the messages to see. So exactly how does an assistant coach in any sport deport someone? If Morefield is quilty of any major NCAA violations I'll run over him with the bus myself but to accept rumor as fact is crazy.

So, as a fan, you admit that you have a coach on staff who you believe not only capable of making such a threat - but that it's more likely than not that he did? Do I understand your comment correctly?

If so, who would hire such a sleeze, and how can you, as a fan of the program, not put that together?

I see. You believe that the difficult section of this story is the recruits general ignorance of the U.S. deportation process, right?

Your last sentence seems to suggest that you are only troubled by this if he is caught.....but could care less if he actually did do it, but isn't caught. Is that correct?

I admit he has been accused of making the statement. I admit he deserves his day before the NCAA. I admit if found quilty I want him out asap. But until that day I refuse to lynch him. Everyone deserves his day in court.

It's still not proven that texting the coaches is an violation at all. If he did violate the rule then punish him...if not then change the rule.

This thread made me laugh. Nice work Baylor troll. I can't believe anyone thinks that any D-1 college coach is clean. It's a dirty business, always has been. Chances are the cleaner a guy tries to make himself look, the worse he probably is.

Got me there. Probably enough dirt to go around on all of them. Trolling...wasn't my intention. Started reading this site during the Kiffin to USC thing. Always liked UT and always will...joined this site over a month ago. My mistake (in my mind anyway) was getting into it with hatvol96...seems his mind is made up. Good luck to Coach Pearl and the Vols...hope we can meet up in Houston. Will countinue to read this site in the future.

Hanner Perea commits to IU. Will be interesting to see if Mommy and Daddy make him return to Columbia and turn pro as they have threatened or if they allow him to stay and go to IU or if they make him switch to BU.

Dont give him too much credit. He also though Derek Dooley was a bad hire to a football program that was in the ****ter. RC probably didnt pick scott drew because he wasnt an option on his "see n say"

Well, a 2-6 record doesn't exactly add credence that Dooley was a good hire. At least we know we will be 3-6 after this weekend.
