A sign of the times...

It's quite clear our coach is out of his league. Time will tell if Hart is.

If hart allows a coach, who is "clearly out of his league" stay for an extra year, that should tell you all you need to know about Hart.

Then again, the way he handled the football hire was a great first impression, lol.

Again, it's not all Hart's call. Be pissed at him all you want, but there are other factors involved. It's not that simple. Hell, even you don't think he'll be fired.

And we don't know how the football hire will go. For you to think it is already a failure tells me all I need to know with your disregard for the football program. It's like you have some bitterness or anger towards them because they are the cash cow. Get over it. That pays the bills.

And now you assume I hate football and Butch Jones. Classic.

When all you do is bash it's not an assumption kid. Keep it up though. You continuing to say, "That's not what I said!" when in reality, yes you did. You are good at talking sideways out of your ass. You lick windows too?

Yes, bash. The first positive post you have will be, well, the first one on the football program.

We get it. You've thrown all your balls into the hoops program and it isn't working out. It's ok. He'll be fired soon enough.

Wow. You couldn't be more wrong, do you wear a tinfoil hat?

You constantly post here. You hardly ever post in any other forum. When you do post about football, they're not nearly as positive or defending in nature as your basketball posts. I think that is more than safe to say.

Look up my posts about football other than today....I'll wait.

99% of your posts are in the hoops forum. What you post on the football team has been more derogatory than anything you ever post on the hoops team.

Like I said, waiting....

Not counting atlantis, I attended more football games than basketball games this year fwiw

If you find them, post them. All I've seen is on here and they're never as forgiving as you are to the hoops program.

Idk what you've seen, outside of today. You've supposedly seen something which is why I said I'll wait while you find it, because I don't recall.

I'm a bigger fan of basketball than football, but I absolutely support the football program.

It wouldn't surprise me if Martin is kept one more year regardless of if we make the tournament, and it may not be a terrible move by the AD. If he's fired after this year, our large, already signed recruiting class can flip to other schools with no penalty. Also, next year is going to be flat out bad regardless of who is coaching. I could see the argument being made to make Cuonzo suffer through it, fire him after an even worse season next year, and look better in the eyes of potential candidates in regards to giving coaches a fair shot.

You may support football, but you definitely don't understand it if you're questioning CBJ after this year. Our roster was as bad as it's been in decades. For almost half the season we were starting our fourth string true freshman quarterback. There were walk ons in the two deep at multiple positions. Vandy, which seems to be your big sticking point, was easily a push talent-wise.

Next year will be much of the same (except we'll definitely have more talent than Vandy) because our whole team (especially the front lines) will be really really young. 2015 will be the first year that alarm bells will start to ring if we don't start seeing a big difference in wins and losses.

He does not hate football.....he is just using it to argue bc of his obsession with Zo.

More like using the arguments y'all are using against Zo and using them against Butch. It's a form of irony.

I'm not questioning Butch.

Did you overachieve on the field last year? He either underachieved or at the most, met expectations.

He has recruited tremendously which gives hope, but that's only half of it, you still have to coach the guys.

All I'm saying is that I've seen a large number of people acting as if Butch is the next Bruce Pearl, and I'm saying he did nothing on the field last year to make me think that.

Its not ironic. Its stupidity.

I get there's no comparing the 2 sports, simply pointing out the hypocrisy of people.

There were posters calling for CCM after year 1, after he overachieved expectations, and pulled a nice recruiting get in Stokes. Yet Butch underachieved in year 1, and he's somehow the second coming of Bear Bryant and is going to be the greatest coach in Tennessee history.

People want to get excited and I get that, but people just seem to jump the gun both ways.
