Possums that have been feeding on persimmons have a much sweeter taste when baked and served with sweet potatoes.

Possum and sweet potato...

I'll send mind your way. Can't guarantee he's been eating persimmons though.

That's ok. Got plenty of possums around here. I don't eat them but in case of the Zombie Apocalypse I'm glad I have a persimmon tree. The possums here are full of persimmons. :)

Go Vols. I'd like to see Spurrier throw his visor several times Saturday.

Okay, how about my resident skunk instead?

No thanks. Not fond of the striped critters (no offense to you, Slice) and fortunately don't have very many around here. I do have an abundance of scorpions and more timber rattlesnakes than I care for, though.

Grand Vol- that home defense thread got crazy. Bear spray and lawyering up from the get-go. I wasted too much time reading that one. :)

I try to give good advice from time to time, just too much personal feelings in threads like that. But dude did own it and said he wasn't himself last night, so no big deal.

Although I will have to say, I have a huge aversion to pepper spray. Gotten the 8% and the 14% stuff. Neither of which was fun.

Skunks are generally opposed to being eaten.

I would tend to agree, however, my resident skunk decided to have a good time with me the other night...

Went out to the store about a week ago and came back home to find one in front of my house. It was feasting on something, have no idea what, but wasn't going to be deterred from his or her (I wasn't lifting the tail to determine the sex of said skunk) meal. However, having gotten Sonic and it was getting cold, I decided to help said critter along and hopefully scare same away. So I honked the horn to move it along.

Tail comes up pretty fast on that one. I wisely decided to stay at the end of the driveway and away from said skunk and just let him or her eat. So finally begins to hop down the front of the house and I figured I might help it along by honking the horn again.

Yeah, not a bright move on my part.

Tail comes up yet again and said skunk decides to double back and hide...right on my car port. Yeah, so there I am waiting for another five minutes for this thing to come back out and of course sees my truck still sitting there. Decides to raise tail once again and hide in the drainage tunnel that runs under my carport. Dog is inside going slightly ape over the animal that wandered onto the carport and here I am trying to back into the carport while keeping an eye on the drainage entrance to make sure this damn thing doesn't come back up. I got lucky and decided it was allowed to eat in the front yard if it wanted to.

Not a huge fan of skunks right now.

Pepper spray definitely works but you never know who's going to get sprayed. Seems most of the time it's used, the officers get as much as the bad guys.

On the skunk thing, not guaranteed but I've moved them along before with a bright flashlight. They don't appear to like the bright light.

Oh, mine didn't like the flashing of the headlights one bit. And didn't like the car horn either. Was a fairly angry skunk I must say.

To skunk the gamecocks would be huge, but I'll settle for a "W".

We need a WIN in a bad way, even the recruiting thread is getting a little touchy.....

I headed back in here where I know it's safe...

GO VOLS Beat dem cocks...... still sounds strange:question: :whistling::whistling:
