Very sad story but they fail to mention when AD got hooked on mess at Tennessee that Alabama physicians prescribe Adderall to almost the whole UA team as well. Story has a little bit of bias running through it.

Great family...real sad story...the emphasis on the contrast in family environment between Tennessee and Bama seems to be a slap at Dooley.

I'm sorry but that story had an AL slant to it. If he was so happy at AL, why did he take such a high dose? It's a sad story of a promising young man but obviously AL wasn't the answer to his problems. And TN wasn't the cause. I still dislike Bama. I glad his family is once again finding happiness.

I hope his little sister comes to Tennessee and plays a sport. Would love to see her do well.

Started pills with influence from highschool teammates. Maybe Maryville and Quarles aint so Lilly white.

Maryville has never been as clean as the wind driven snow. When I was there, we had counterfeit-gate and we had our princiPAL stealing-money-gate. We have our problems. I do not doubt for one second that the introduction to controlled substances came from teammates or other "Maryville" people.

But your implication is that there is some knowledge, or collusion on the part of the Maryville coaching staff to enhance performance through pills, i.e. the EXACT same allegation that former NFL players made in their suit against the NFL. Don't know the merits of that suit, but I can tell you that your implication is BS. It's actually insulting.

He was an addict before he got to UT. His time here didn't change it, but the addiction didn't start here

Why don't people quit taking them then?

I assume you mean when the benefits start to wear off. Do you know why they(most people) don't stop taking pills? Because they are prescribed by DOCTORS. Unfortunately, Drs are on the take from pharm reps who don't give a damn about patient care or rehabilitation.

Unfortunately, in this county medical care is a for profit business. This is the major problem.

Call me out for socialized medicine, or Obamacare, or whatever... but for profit medicine is a loser for the patient, without question.
