It's a small number, but I truly believe there is a group you can group into group 4.

1 and 2 tend to bleed back and forth but there is a difference in their agendas. I'd say the difference is that pro-life are the people who picket abortion clinics and do more of the the more vocal things. Group 2 would be more of the pregnancy resource centers like Hope Resource Center in Knoxville that actually works with pregnant mothers who are in the process of making a choice.
It would have to be.

To some extent I think there are four camps in the debate

1. Pro-life
2. Choose-life
3. Pro-choice
4. Pro-abortion

2 and 3 and the largest segments and 1 and 4 are the most vocal.

I've really reached a point where I believe abortion is wrong and will not change, but given America's current enviornment I would settle to allow abortion but not until the mother has had an ultrasound.

I think I tend to be a 2.5, by that scale. I think people should choose life in most situations, but think the option of a sterile and safe-for-the-mother early abortion should be available.

+1

I wish the father had more legal grounds for being involved in the decision as well. Right now it is a one way street, for better or worse.

I'm not a fan of the "sterile and safe" argument, simply because it opens the door for other "sterile and safe" arguments, creating a slippery slope.

For example, IV drug users being given sterile needles and education on cleaning needles.

I'm not against abortion, and I too tend to lean toward choosing life if given the opportunity. I just don't like the "sterile and safe" argument, for what that is worth.

If I had to choose an argument to support abortion legality, though, I'd be hard pressed to picked one.

What this guy did, though, has no place in medicine and no place in society in general.
