Well he can move to Texas it's not gona help those with eyes see if he's a good X's and O's Coach We knew 3 years ago looking at his La Tech Success when he was head coach and AD. Dooley should have done this 9 weeks ago.The players (and it's all over Knoxville) Do not want to play for Dooley! He is grasping for straws and it's to late!

If this is indeed true, I think it is obvious what is going on.

Sure, he knew there were problems after Ga State even - as did you and I.

Why, if you're on the hot seat, would you announce you're going to move to the defense to help out before the meat of the schedule.

Now we find ourselves approaching Mizzou, Vandy, and Kentucky. I think I'll publicly announce that I'm going to help out right here. Hard to not show improvement with that competition.

You said it, brother. We're going to be asked to judge his effectiveness in helping the D go against the 3 worst offenses in the SEC...of course if Franklin comes back strong for Mizzou, then all bets are off, they are actually pretty good with him at QB.

its a very long stretch, but what would people say if we shut down our last 4 opponents?

Dude our O-Line has played great this year.If they can control Clowney. They can control Richardson. He may get 1.He won't have 4 like Alex Brown had against Tennessee in 1999.

Just so you know Clowney was in a walking cast the week of UT and did not practice. Just a thought but our o line didnt do from horrible to fantastic in a couple of games. The truth lies in the middle somewhere.

Fulmer done this in 08 the last 2 games of the season and it helped, but the bad hire at OC done costed him his job. Looks like the same thing going on here but on defense. We have come full circle.

I'm so glad he has waited for 3 games to go before he gives his expertise to help the defense. The season is saved! Long live Dooley!

Maybe his idea is to come in these last three games we should win anyway, go over and say he is helping on defense now and look like a defensive genius after we scoop up those three . Job saved for another year. Voila!!

I never saw anybody say he should run over and coach defense. But if it were my job on the line I would have probably been into it a few weeks before now.

If anyone needs any more time to figure out what DD is all about, God help them. Another week and another collapse is just expected now a days. Maybe it's the OL's turn. I am calling it now. OL gives up 9 sacks Vs Mizzou. Sheldon Richardson has 4.5 this week.

the OL is the one position that won't be collapsing. Too bad they can't play D as well.

you still need more proof??? seriously?

sorry, i don't feel the need to say how bad DD sucks in every post. I don't care who the coach is. if they do make a change I hope the are willing to pay more than 1.8 mill. been there doing that.

I am so glad that UT's athletic director doesn't listen to the guys on message boards if that was the case we would have a new coaching staff every week. I can see the frustrations everyone is having with Dooley, but to be honest the biggest mistake was hiring Sal and changing a defense that wasn't horrible last year. With last year's defense we lose 1 game this year and that is to Bama. Sorry Florida your offense still sucks we would have limited the big plays in the UGA and USCe games and Miss. State shouldn't have even been competitive. If Dooley wins the remaining games and the bowl game he's coming back and what we need is a new D coordinator and move Sal to linebackers. Believe it or not UT has improved this year big time on offense and the defense has just been poorly coached. I think if Dooley comes back that Hart should pay the big bucks and get Chavis to come back. Just my thoughts and firing Dooley right now would be the wrong thing to do especially if he wins out.

I doubt they will as well. I made the comment to speak to just how bad this year has been. Every week it's something else.

I was at that game if it was at UF and it the same one I remember. I was very close to the field total BS home cooking Alex was off side on three of those sacks and was not called for it the VOL sidelines was screeming at the refs.
