Just so you know Clowney was in a walking cast the week of UT and did not practice. Just a thought but our o line didnt do from horrible to fantastic in a couple of games. The truth lies in the middle somewhere.

I think it was TINY who was in the walking boot all week.

I am so glad that UT's athletic director doesn't listen to the guys on message boards if that was the case we would have a new coaching staff every week. I can see the frustrations everyone is having with Dooley, but to be honest the biggest mistake was hiring Sal and changing a defense that wasn't horrible last year. With last year's defense we lose 1 game this year and that is to Bama. Sorry Florida your offense still sucks we would have limited the big plays in the UGA and USCe games and Miss. State shouldn't have even been competitive. If Dooley wins the remaining games and the bowl game he's coming back and what we need is a new D coordinator and move Sal to linebackers. Believe it or not UT has improved this year big time on offense and the defense has just been poorly coached. I think if Dooley comes back that Hart should pay the big bucks and get Chavis to come back. Just my thoughts and firing Dooley right now would be the wrong thing to do especially if he wins out.

Did you watch the end of the Bama/LSU game? Notice anything familiar with Chavis' defense? 3rd and... No doubt he'd be a vast improvement over Sunseri but don't ya think it's about time we stop offerning 3yr guranteed contracts to assistants when it's obvious the head coach is the main problem? I'm starting to think our entire administrative structure needs to be purged. Everyone from the chancellor to the board of trustees. This whole enterprise has been severly mismanaged for years.

Hilarious that you guys are throwing Dooley under the bus because he is just now getting heavily involved in implementing the defensive game plan. He hired a DC that is a defensive specialist and that is his job. Dooley does not have a background in defense. Why would it make any sense for him to do that? The fact that he is doing it now is an indictment on Sal. And its a huge indictment at that. Does Spurrier spend time implementing the defense? No, he knows that is not his specialty. Just like Dooley knows defense is not his speciality. But he has not choice to give the appearance that we are trying something new. Everybody knows the facts about Dooley as a coach. But please stop pulling crap out of your butt to show how he needs to be fired. It makes us look stupid.

Ok, we're 9 games in.. And he is just now realizing we have issues with our defense?
And is just now "moving" over to help the defense... Cheek or hart or who the hell ever don't see the levels of ineptitude that is Derrick Dooley that we can't cut ties?

We are now a Mickey mouse program!

This exact move is what's being credited with Texas beating TTU with an improved defensive effort. It's not like Mac Brown is a defensive guy.

In this economy it's hard to beleive we are paying Dooley over $166,000.00 a month for his performance. Who's the real winner here?

So, is Sal out? I didn't realize Dooley, was such a Defensive mastermind....

The way I understood the situation, it was more an advise-and-suggest type of involvement. He's not totally taking over the defense.
GO VOLS!

I think that CDD comes out with a different defensive scheme this week. From the way it sounded in the presser CDD is going to take over the defense and relegate CSS to the press box.

CDD and the assistants may be the only thing the players have on the sidelines this Saturday.

GBO... Beat Mizzou..... Then Hire Gruden!!

Fulmer done this in 08 the last 2 games of the season and it helped, but the bad hire at OC done costed him his job. Looks like the same thing going on here but on defense. We have come full circle.

really????
