I have no idea who did this or how they came up with it. People will quibble over the positioning of their sacred cows and the objects of their hate, but the graphic is generally correct.

My preferred sources are Forbes, Reason, CATO, The Economist, The Atlantic, and NPR.

The following link is a story from The Washington Times, a conservative newspaper:

Democrats now more educated than Republicans, Pew survey finds

So what? Who cares? That doesn't give you the right to control their lives and take away their liberties. It doesn't mean that you know what's right for them. There's no doubt why this is happening. College professors are overwhelmingly Democrat.

The A students go into research
The B students go into teaching
The C students make all the money

I would generally agree with that chart except I'd put AP left of center. At a glance it underestimates the extent of the left wing dominance because it doesn't take into account distribution. Sites like INFO Wars has minimal distribution while the 3 main stream networks have huge reach. In fact nearly everything right of center is behind a pay wall of some sort.

Scanning an aggregator like Real Clear Politics is a good start - they always have a ton of links on their front page from multiple sides.

The thing about the news media these days isn't that they outright lie. They won't tell you that 1+1=8. The bias isn't that easy to spot. What they will do is lie by omission (omit facts that are damaging to their narrative) and purposely blur the line between fact and opinion. Those are things that you can more or less get ahead of by consuming media from different sources.

He continually confuses eduction with intelligence. Comes from being an uber progressive Suwannee boy.

I hardly watch any news. I get more from what a politician actually says, either recorded or via tweet about what he supports or doesn't, how he votes and what groups are supporting him. I get nothing but entertainment out of forums like this. The ball does not get moved here.

I sincerely doubt that many professors donate to church. You must be one of the few.

Depends on the area. I teach in deep red Western Michigan where you can't drive two blocks without passing a Reformed Church. Most of my department's faculty attends or are employed as a music director.

I bet it's the polar opposite around Detroit.

I was with you up until here.

Candidates can't control who supports or donates to their campaign... nor know what all of their motives are for supporting them.
