Acceptable sources?

I don't watch traditional news outlets, if I want to know about something, I'll read about it myself. Do not need the spin from the talkings media heads. I'm not interested in the daily dog and pony show that is every facet of what is happening in American politics. I listen to NPR in the car and sometimes fire up some Vice pieces on topics that seem interesting to me, which are usually about other parts of the world. I don't read Reason daily but the pieces I catch here and their seem more balanced and dare I say, reasonable, than the regular partisan trash from both sides. Forbes and WSJ have the honor of getting my clicks now and then.

Low Information Voters. The left loves this phrase, it’s one of their coping mechanisms to help explain away 2016 election results without having to take any blame for it . Lol
Ironically, most minorities always vote dem. Many can't speak english but they'll vote (often) for dems.

The mainstream media has always trended left because reporters tend to come from liberal arts educations and institutions. Not liberal in the political sense, but in the academic sense. That means they tend to have better education, better reasoning skills, and are not coming from insular world views.

Right wing media arose as a response to that. That's why you see Fox News pretty much always appearing to the lowest common denominator of their audience. Hot chicks doling out bite size nuggets of smirking at mainstream media.

As generation after generation is better educated, Fox, Breitbart, and the like will lose their audiences. Its inevitable.

Now, I would agree that the mainstream media would appear to many to have overreacted to Trump, but that is a two way street. Trump loves their mocking of his misconduct, his baseness, etc. Its because he shares that with his 40 percent and they hate having it pointed out.

What a completely ignorant and dumb statement.

What exactly do you teach if you don't mind me asking? and yes 89% of polled college professors stated they are liberals to moderate leftists

I'm the assistant director of a college marching band, I teach teacher training courses, monitor student teachers in the field, and am about to implement undergraduate research initiatives in music.

We now have a way to see in the brain the phenomenon of time being experienced differently based on difficult or traumatic tasks. Using virtual reality to track tiny rotations in the arm while conducting or playing music so that students can see where there body is deviating from good form or causing stress they don't perceive yet. Seeing if there is a connection between the development of fine motor skills playing saxophone or clarinet with faster skills development in hiking and receiving a football.

Cool. Circle of fourths and fifths.

I'm curious - given the combative state of news, journalism, and political entertainment, what news sources are considered legitimate for the purpose of enhancing conversation and getting people to actually read and consider views that may very slight differ from the ones they currently hold?
the Onion

FoxNews viewers are generally LIVs....like some of this board's right wingers

Is it not true that your LIV term was widely used to refer to the people who voted for Clinton because he ate McDonald's?

For clarity I can't confirm this is the case but that's when I remember the term becoming used more often

Trump's told outrageous lies that are far worse than anything we've heard from any President in our lifetimes. His false claims are unmatched as well
Which were more outrageous than anything we've heard before from politicians?

He's one of the best Presidents for keeping promises. Here's ten right off the top of my head:

1) Renegotiated trade deals with North America and China
2) Did what he could to build a wall w/o Congress support
3) Repealed Obamacare , as he could w/o Congress support
4) Appointed conservatives to the SC
5) Pro Life
6) Supported Israel
7) Pull out of Kyoto accord
8) Pulled out of Iran deal
9) Deregulated a lot of stuff
10) Cut taxes

You may not agree with those policies but he said he was going to do it and he did
