Except Nico wasn’t willing to give up money to do it. That’s part of negotiating. He wanted his and wanted other people (collectives/fans/boosters) to give up theirs.

I agree with all the stuff you stated but you think the talent around a QB wouldn't also be a top consideration for an elite recruit? You think Tua in 2017 wasn't considering the fact Alabama was recruiting a bunch of five star skill position players and offensive lineman along with him when making his decision?

Come on now. Everyone knows top QB recruits care about the WRs and offensive lineman being recruited. In fact many engage in peer recruiting for that reason. That's one of the reasons so many of us thought we would land Tristen Keys. He was supposedly close to Faizon and we've been hearing Faizon has been peer recruiting him.

Top recruits care about money and coaching absolutely. But they also care about who they're teammates will be especially elite QBs. A top QB ain't going to a program if he knows he'll have no talent alongside him on the offensive line and at wide receiver. Because top QBs know their success hinges on the talent around them. And that success will ultimately impact their draft position.

Can't believe WNML continues to air the Beavis and Butthead Show in the afternoon drive time. Terrible show with little to no credible insight into anything sports related. I have resorted to streaming out of town shows just to have something entertaining on for the drive home.

Just listened to him again. He stills said this is UTs fault and not Nico’s dad. Said he has sources that said Sprye purposely leaked the info. Also said he has sources that said its not on team Nico. He said UT will regret their decision, & UCLA will benefit from Nico & its the perfect spot for him.


For those of you doubting his credibility, he did also aay that papa Nic is not a bad person at all(he has sources), that he just doesn’t know what he is doing

Maryville pastor Josh Sullivan was already stressed about the University of Tennessee Volunteers shortly after he was rescued from kidnappers in South Africa.

Sullivan arrived in South Africa with his family in 2018 and was recently abducted during a church service and held for almost a week.

On Tuesday, he reunited with his family after a shootout left three kidnappers dead but Sullivan unharmed.

After being rescued, Sullivan was taken to see his family and started reaching out to people in Tennessee. White captive and isolated from the outside world, Sullivan missed the - somewhat trivial in the circumstances - fallout between quarterback Nico Iamaleava and the Vols.

Back at Fellowship Baptist Church in east Tennessee, fellow pastor Tom Hatley told WVLT how he heard from acquaintances that Sullivan was 'upset over Nico.'

Hatley detailed how those with Sullivan in South Africa were told to keep the conversations light. However, somebody brought up the Iamaleava news, which he was not thrilled about.

'And they said, well, you know, Nico left, didn't you? And his wife told me last night that the biggest conversation they've had has been about Nico. Hey, the boy was raised in East Tennessee, what can I tell you?' Hatley told the outlet.

Hatley said Sullivan is a lifelong Tennessee fan and spent some of the first moments after his release talking about the now-former quarterback after entering the transfer portal.

'If Josh Heupel is listening to me or the athletic director, Danny White, let's get this man in to see the team, let's let him run through the T, let's do something because he deserves it,' said Hatley.

Josh was a starting DT on one of Maryville’s state championship teams around 2008. Outstanding young man!

West was just pouring out word salad all evening this evening. According to his sources (whom he apparently vetted via Jimmy Hyams) someone at Spyre got petty and leaked it. And he thinks Tennessee looked trashy for saying they didn't blink over the 4 million. He said that none of this was Nico, but that Big Nic has some issues. He was also saying he should never have mentioned Spyre (I suspect someone is upset with him at UT) and that he's sorry he ever did. He still believes Nico was transferring no matter what and that's why he missed practice.

He literally rambled for 10 straight minutes without actually saying anything terribly coherent. He was seemingly trying to say that Tennessee fans got mad at him but that he was right. I'm not too clear on what he was right about.
