Before the game, slowly make your way down to the field and break off a branch of those cool hedges as a souvenir. They won't mind!

We always park near the Ramsey student ctr on east campus rd. It's been easy to get in and out of and there are always a lot of Vol fans around. It's opposite the side of the stadium where all the bars are located.

Went to Athens in 2012 and had a good time even though we lost. The fans were way nicer than I was expecting. I don't remember where we parked except it was somebody's driveway or yard for about 20 bucks, a half mile or so from the stadium. Do leave very early because Athens is not that easy to get to. We went through Atlanta and then on some desolate road out of Atlanta. Hwy 9 or something. Couldn't believe how barron it was. There was absolutely nothing on that road!!

I'm coming from chattanooga so I won't be taking the Atlanta shuttle and no drinking. So what else? Lol

Depending on what you really want to see I would definitely take a stroll down Milledge. There are two pretty unique things to see in Athens, the tree that owns it's self and the double barreled cannon at city hall. I've only been there once in the past 10 years so I'm no help on eateries.

My car was trashed and dented up after we came out of there with a victory in the 90's. Only indicator that my car belonged to a UT fan was a State of Tennessee license plate.

Ditto. When the Vols Win Watch Out. They are totally Volatile and Obnoxious. Probably the 2nd or 3rd worst fan base in the SEC for visits.

Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Miss State, LSU, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, SC, Ky, (Missouri & Texas AM-unknown)

We are taking his car so other than being from tennessee they shouldn't think its a Tennessee fan driving it. I'll tell him to get a G to put on it lol

General parking there or do you need a pass?

Only time mitigates alcohol blood levels, eating and walking it off won't help...

Takes between an hour to hour and half depending on weight for every drink for your body to process, and be under the legal limit

So if you put away a sixer before kickoff, have a snort before halftime (2pm), you should be good to drive home by 10 or 11.

I second this. Groom shuttle is an excellent call as well if you are staying in Atlanta. Runs from Hartsfield to Athens on the half hour.

Apart from this, if you stop drinking in the third and put in a heavy dinner, hydrate, then walk it off, should be fine for a late night drive home

Dont test it....Designate a driver!

Get there super early... Traffic in and out of Athens and UGA campus is super congested and slow! I hope you meet up with some friendly and classy GA fans.... I've been to TN/GA games in Athens numerous times during the Goff and Donnan years and came away with an overall mediocre impression of their fans, several of them making rude or snide remarks with an air or superiority about us "hillbillies" (similar to Fla fans). I saw another poster commenting about LSU fans... They're wild and crazy for sure but were still hospitable, invited to party with them and wanted us to have a great time. That's the type of host I can appreciate.

I plan on leaving about 5 or 530 Saturday morning from Chattanooga. Iphone map says it takes 3 hours and 15 minutes to get there. That early enough?

Yeah we are leaving knoxville around 4 so I'd say you are in pretty good shape. Like I said we are tailgating on the west side of the stadium come on by.

Bring ear plugs. Not for the crowd noise but for the dumb@$$ UGA fan that will come up and bark in your ear. It's a given.

But Athens is a fun town to hang out in.
