Interstate BBQ in Memphis is probably my favorite place for BBQ in the south (atmosphere excluded). Germantown Commisary has the best ribs in my opinion. Rendezvous is right there with the ribs. Neither need any sauce and are smoked to perfection.

Interstate for the pulled pork and Rendezvous for the ribs. Commissary has great ribs but we prefer the atmosphere at Charlie V's (Rendezvous) - plus - Beale is just a couple of blocks away. Another great eatery downtown Memphis is Gus's Fried Chicken. Tops in my book.

I recommend Stock & Barrel on Market Square.

Awesome burgers made with all locally sourced ingredients and bar that's nothing but bourbon & whiskey.

Blues City Cafe for ribs IMHO. I agree about Gus's though, great chicken.

I am kinda surprised that Steamboat sandwiches has yet to make an appearance on this thread. It is one place I always go when I come back. Hands down second best sandwich in the world.

Incorrect. The best ribs are at Rendezvous in Memphis, and the best pulled pork is at Ridgewood BBQ in Bluff City tn.

Anybody that says Rendezvous is the best ribs in Memphis obviously hasn't eaten anywhere else in that city.
