After looking closely at our schedule we are the team to beat next year

I don’t see one team that can beat us in the regular season.

We start off with two cupcakes, then we get Georgia in Neyland.

Once we get the lead in Neyland, momentum will snowball and Kirby will....

We will wax Georgia 38-13.

Alabama doesn’t scare me with their new head coach. We go in to that dump of a stadium and beat them 48-16. Their defense is soft just like their west coast “coach” is. Maybe more of their players can throw temper tantrums and show the coaches that nobody respects them. That includes Heupel, who will run it up on them.

We finish off the season beating the absolute life out of sunbelt Billy and Diego Poverty.

SECCG and Playoffs will be a different story but next year we should book our ticket to Atlanta or it will be a disappointment.

Fantasy post.

Our schedule this year was pretty much set up nicely for us. For example:

- Our regular season wins came against teams that finished with a 52-72 record, or 42%
- Our two regular season losses came against teams that finished their regular season 16-8, or 67% (plus 2-0 in bowl and CFP so far)
- Only played two regular season games against teams that are currently ranked in the Top 25
- We played 6 of the 7 bottom SEC teams in the SEC standings

This year's schedule was built nicely for us to make the CFP.

Our schedule next year is the same conference-wise, just home and away flipped.

Replace NC State with Syracuse, that's the main difference.

If we don't quit losing WR's, Heupel will have to adopt the wishbone.

Every year we talk about how we are gonna crush it, etc. but if we don't stop the bleeding from the transfer portal, we won't be crushing anyone...

We just lost our team to portal and nfl.

We need to have someone to dress out for the games. What is the portal total now 20 ? It's like rats jumping off a burning ship ! So much for the championship culture the players were raving about. Money talks...bull sh-t walks.

I predict an 8-4 season and a mid level bowl. Good enough for me. Don't get caught up in the money chasing game. I prefer loyal, committed kids who love Tennessee and give their all. I am not a fan of this semi pro league sports.
This is a loser mindset. No offense. Heupel has to play the game. Just like Tony V and Rick Barnes are. Unless we don’t care about winning anymore…

I don’t know about y’all, but we should want to win.

History: we play like dog poop on the road. 2022: we beat Bama and UF at home. 2023: we lose to Bama and UF on the road. 2024 at home: Beat Bama & UF.
We lose to GA. at home and on the road. JH needs to fix the slow start carp and any road game is a tossup (Arky.) 2024. Fix the slow starts and crappy play
on the road and we might be 8 & 3. It can get worse if not fixed.

Speed options on 3rd and long hints that some people don’t.

Hoping to get to my first game at Tennessee next Fall, probably Arkansas or Oklahoma. I know a lot can change on a roster with the new transfer portal and bribery system, but if the Vols played those schools right now, would you expect a victory over both?

Yeah, I’m gonna need to know what’s left of our roster, who’s been added and other subtractions before I can jump on this bandwagon.

We may have a freshman at offensive tackle. It’s too early to say bc we have no idea what the roster will look like but we don’t play well on the road so Bama and Florida are going to be tough. I’ll say 8-9 wins.

Along with losing our Seniors and the high number of players entering the portal,
it is almost impossible to know what next seasons team will look like. I am particularly
concerned why so many WR’s are leaving. Have they lost faith in Nico ? The coaches ?

Gonna be hard to beat even mediocre teams since we won't have any WR's with any meaningful experience in Heupel's system. We lose to Bama, UGA and UF and maybe Syracuse and/or Arkansas. (I admit I have a relapse of BVS).

Don't say this aloud. Some of these folks really think that we "made" the playoffs. When actually we had an incredibly easy schedule to navigate and only actually won our biggest wins by an extremely close margin. We got totally swamped by the two title worthy teams we faced.
Then we snuck back into the side door after all of those losses that happened AFTER we struck out down in Athens and had effectively lost our way out of Atlanta & the CFP.
And we wouldn't have matched up well with Texas, a& m, Ole Miss, South Carolina or LSU if we had to face either of them.
Arkansas finished strong while Oklahoma faded. You know our results with both.
