As an aside for this thread it appears to me that SEC was overrated .Kentucky,Tennessee,Alabama,Georgia eliminated in Round 2,Arkansas eliminated in Round 1 and Texas A&M taken to the wire by a 15 seed.

Good lord! Did you chain your children up in a closet? I have never seen any of our players be disrespectful and based on Kellie’s presser she thinks the world of all of our players. They are excellent students and great representatives for UT.
The days of Bobby Knight are gone.

I mean I don't know what else you wanted her know to do other than suit up and go play 6 on 5 with them.

If you are referring to my post I never said anything near that it was Kellie's fault in missing any shots .What I did say was that Kellie should have adjusted her offensive game plan to free up the shooters and scorers ( Davis and Burrell ) sometime in the 1st or 2nd quarters to free them up so thy could get some uncontested shots by more screening for those two when she saw that teh rest of the team couldn't throw it in the ocean standing 6 inches on shore.I have been belittled by now three posters for making those comments which I standby .When something is not working on the offensive end for your two prolific scorers something different should be run for them ( both had 2 points each in quarters 1 &2 ) .their struggles were caused bt the Michigan defense imo.

It’s very disappointing to see both of our teams out so early. I was really hoping the Lady Vols would care of me through till the beginning of next month.

Just dreaming but Syracuse is a cold place. U Conn defeated Syracuse 47 to 83 yesterday. The 6' 7" female giant Kamilla Cardosa is from Brazil. She played high school basketball in Tennessee, Hamilton Heights Christian School. Many thought she would enter either Middle TN or UT. She scored 14 points and had 7 rebounds in 24 minutes against U Conn. One other player scored nearly all the rest. She would make a great addition to University of TN a much warmer place than Syracuse. The University of TN has far better players than Syracuse for next year. Kamilla Cardosa would have a much better chance of playing for pros if she changed to UT.

She had three elite level players and just didnt do much. Took a step back in fact. She isn’t recruiting at a level that is as high as what she has now. I give her two years.

I think she at least gets three and if nothing else you can thank covid for that. Oh and a lot of football buyouts. LOL the reality of if Kellie does any semblance of a decent job UT will keep her as to not have to pay anyone else.

If she does a good job then even more reason to keep her. And God forbid she does a really good job it will be more than 3 years. If she makes a sweet 16 in 2 years she won’t be going anywhere

I doubt any changes will be made as long as the team keeps improving. There is a positive trend in that direction. People will say what they want to about Kellie but she took over a team having great difficulty and has stopped the slide. Her detractors conveniently fail to mention that.

I see definite improvement in the team. You don't. Big deal. You need to deal with the fact that people will have a different opinion than you. No need to fight about it.

Not picking a fight at all.Definitely everyone has an opinion but everyone does not have to agree on their opinion(s). That is a fact .But those who have a different opinion than you are not negavols .As to your post above, everyone on this board can make a choice and have an opinion on that .
I have never said that i did not see improvement with this team so there you go again .

It has nothing to do with disagreement. I could care less if you agree or disagree with something I say. That is apparently not the case with you.

You said my remarks had no basis in fact so I took it you disagreed with my premise that the team is improving. Is that not what you intended or was this your "playground bully" response where you just have to poke because you are put out?

I do agree with some of the things that are written here. There are some things that I don't understand about how she handles the team. She seldom ever uses a timeout to stop a run, and she says in every interview that she does not make adjustments at halftime, just ask them to play harder. She pulls one of the premier shot blockers out and sits her for long periods of time when she is not in foul trouble. Kasi is slower, doesn't rebound as well, and certainly isn't a shot blocker. If you review the season she is pulled with us ahead, and not put back in until we are behind by several points, and she has done that often. Horston needs to play under control as she is the most athletic on the team. Burrell needs to let the game come to her, she becomes very flustered when her shots don't fall and plays out of control. I think we have the making of a really good team with another really good point guard to go with walker, and another wing or forward that can score and rebound consistently. I am looking to seeing some games this fall. KJ is a far superior coach that we had

Also, when you look at Holly Warlick, look at all the top rated players she and her staff signed, but then they ended up hating the culture and ended up transferring. We lost so many players through her. I’m hopeful that coach Kellie has created an environment that is enticing to her players. I hope that this connection she brings that Holly lacked, is so contagious to players, that they will want to stay and come play for UT! I think the one thing Pat and Kellie have in common, outside of their styles of play, they are both Mothers. Holly was not a mother, that I know of, so that alone can make a huge difference! Kellie and Pat know how to take players under thing wing, perhaps Holly had a hard time in that department.

Exactly. There are a lot of positives this team presented that we had not seen in a while (if one looks past the 2nd round loss). We will lose two very experienced players but that opens up opportunities for others. We don't know the net effect of the portal but that looks to be the next great battlefield. We don't know which players will step up but it will be year 3 of the Kellie era and the next team should be the best in executing her offense/defense.
