Good lord! Did you chain your children up in a closet? I have never seen any of our players be disrespectful and based on Kellie’s presser she thinks the world of all of our players. They are excellent students and great representatives for UT.They need some kids who can take and listen to coaching .. some of these girls ignore coaches when try to correct them .. CKH needs to jerk a knot ... consequences for turning and walking away while being talked too .. well hey how you go on down to the end of bench and sit and watch rest of game !!!! That will see if the girls want to get better and accept coaches instruction or leave .. thses girls are handled with kid gloves too much !!!
If you are referring to my post I never said anything near that it was Kellie's fault in missing any shots .What I did say was that Kellie should have adjusted her offensive game plan to free up the shooters and scorers ( Davis and Burrell ) sometime in the 1st or 2nd quarters to free them up so thy could get some uncontested shots by more screening for those two when she saw that teh rest of the team couldn't throw it in the ocean standing 6 inches on shore.I have been belittled by now three posters for making those comments which I standby .When something is not working on the offensive end for your two prolific scorers something different should be run for them ( both had 2 points each in quarters 1 &2 ) .their struggles were caused bt the Michigan defense imo.I'm confused on why or how the team missing 17 wide open damn layups from our best players that they make 99% of the time is Kellie's fault? All she can do is put them in a position to have those opportunities. Them not making those shots doesn't fall on Kellie. What do you want her to do go out and hit layups for them? We hit just 8 of those 17 missed layups, and we win. That's less than 50% of those missed, and we STILL WIN.
Rennia even said in her presser that their game plan was great, but they didn't execute it. That's not on Kellie. Her game plan was solid. We got open. We had the shots. Wide open shots most of the time. Players have to make the plays. We couldn't hit them. It happens. Period. Accept the defeat. Not every loss is the coach's problem. I mean I don't know what else you wanted her know to do other than suit up and go play 6 on 5 with them.
What? I'm old as dirt , let's make it 2 years.I know that many of us are disappointed with our second round ouster from the NCAA Tournament and I am just as disappointed as anyone else. For the last 10 years, or more, we all watched the LV program head South. With my disappointment, I still take into consideration that this is KJH’s second year at the helm. It takes more than two years to give life to a program where the oxygen has been sucked out. It becomes difficult to convince many 5 stars that it is in their best interest to be a part of a dying program. Most top recruits are mostly interest in playing for top 10 programs. Sadly, the prior coaching staff recruited well but produced little. Within 7 years the mojo of playing at Tennessee lost its magic. In addition, a rabid fan base, including me, went after players and coaching staff because we craved for the good old days. The attitude of a fan base can either affect recruiting in a negative or positive manner. In reality, retrieving the good old days is going to take a lot of work. No, KJH has not recruited a bunch of 5 stars, however, the 4 four star players coming in, seem to have some strong upsides. It took KJH 6 years to rebuild MoState’s basketball program with a group of no stars. I truly believe it will take KJH at least five years to build a consistent D1 top ten team. Success comes in increments and simply will not happen in two years.
She had three elite level players and just didnt do much. Took a step back in fact. She isn’t recruiting at a level that is as high as what she has now. There you go again making purely general statement that have no basis in fact.I doubt any changes will be made as long as the team keeps improving. There is a positive trend in that direction. People will say what they want to about Kellie but she took over a team having great difficulty and has stopped the slide. Her detractors conveniently fail to mention that.
Not picking a fight at all.Definitely everyone has an opinion but everyone does not have to agree on their opinion(s). That is a fact .But those who have a different opinion than you are not negavols .As to your post above, everyone on this board can make a choice and have an opinion on that .You can continue to pick a fight if you want.
I thought it was pretty straight forward. You can be a ____ or not. Your choice.
I see definite improvement in the team. You don't. Big deal. You need to deal with the fact that people will have a different opinion than you. No need to fight about it.

I have never said that i did not see improvement with this team so there you go again .
I do agree with some of the things that are written here. There are some things that I don't understand about how she handles the team. She seldom ever uses a timeout to stop a run, and she says in every interview that she does not make adjustments at halftime, just ask them to play harder. She pulls one of the premier shot blockers out and sits her for long periods of time when she is not in foul trouble. Kasi is slower, doesn't rebound as well, and certainly isn't a shot blocker. If you review the season she is pulled with us ahead, and not put back in until we are behind by several points, and she has done that often. Horston needs to play under control as she is the most athletic on the team. Burrell needs to let the game come to her, she becomes very flustered when her shots don't fall and plays out of control. I think we have the making of a really good team with another really good point guard to go with walker, and another wing or forward that can score and rebound consistently. I am looking to seeing some games this fall. KJ is a far superior coach that we hadI agree with a lot of sentiment. I think it will be really hard to get recruits without winning consistently. However, we’re losing a lot in Re and Kasi and I’m not convinced any of the incoming freshman will have a huge impact. We can’t recruit MO State caliber players and win in the SEC. I am hopeful that our core group doesn’t transfer our ( not bc of Kellie but because that’s the world we live in) and JH and TK make the jump Rae did between year 2 & 3. If that doesn’t happen, I think we will be in for a long year. I recognize that she needs time and I am in full support of KJH...but recruiting or lack there of scares me. A lot.
Also, when you look at Holly Warlick, look at all the top rated players she and her staff signed, but then they ended up hating the culture and ended up transferring. We lost so many players through her. I’m hopeful that coach Kellie has created an environment that is enticing to her players. I hope that this connection she brings that Holly lacked, is so contagious to players, that they will want to stay and come play for UT! I think the one thing Pat and Kellie have in common, outside of their styles of play, they are both Mothers. Holly was not a mother, that I know of, so that alone can make a huge difference! Kellie and Pat know how to take players under thing wing, perhaps Holly had a hard time in that department. One thing that can’t be disputed. With Holly Warlick, our teams regressed and lost talent. With Kellie Harper, we have exceeded expectations, despite a 2nd round loss, we still competed this season.
