Is couch a backup in the NFL or waiting tables
I heard he and Ryan Leaf are writing fiction novels about great NFL quarterbacks.![]()
No, he tried out for the Titans and several other teams earlier this year. He has to have another surgery soon, though. So he wouldn't be able to come back until next year.
He is married to Heather Kozar, 1999's Playmate of the Year. That counts for something, right?
And it still wasn't a rivalry. Bryant never beat Neyland.
No, it wasn't. A blip on the screen is what it was. A rivalry is built over decades of fierce competition on the field. Tennessee-Alabama is a rivalry. Tennessee-Kentucky is, was, and always will be just another game on the schedule for the Vols.Just because he never beat him doesn't mean that it wasn't a rivalry. With the exception of 1951, there were two ties, and the rest were decided by 6 or 7 points.
11/23/1946 Tennessee 7, Kentucky 0
11/22/1947 Tennessee 13, Kentucky 6
11/20/1948 Kentucky 0, Tennessee 0
11/19/1949 Tennessee 6, Kentucky 0
11/25/1950 Tennessee 7, Kentucky 0
11/24/1951 Tennessee 28, Kentucky 0
11/22/1952 Kentucky 14, Tennessee 14
By the way, Kentucky would beat Tennessee all but once in the span between 1953 and 1959.
So, yes, it was a rivalry at one time.
We don't brag about beating Kentucky. I was simply pointing out that Kentucky couldn't beat Tennessee with arguably the best coach in college football history at the helm. The rivalry hasn't dimmed. It never existed. Tennessee and Kentucky are rivals the way the Roadrunner and Wil E. Coyote are rivals. Then don't brag about Neyland getting the best of Bear Bryant.
In the last few decades, the rivalry has dimmed, but my point is still valid. It was a rivalry at one time.
Sheesh.
Thanks for the congratulations. It's been pretty neat to see the Vols turn it around after last year, too.
I wouldn't say that Kentucky is one-dimensional. They have a pretty good run game, but no one player stands out statistically because of injuries. The key to our win vs. Georgia was pounding the run down their throat in the 4th quarter- quite a switch.
Sadly for the 'kats, last year was probably your best shot at a win for the next decade or more.
No joke. Just trying to generate more intelligent conversation than "Kentucky sucks." Obviously, that's asking too much with some people.
I don't get it.
Numbers don't lie. They're both pretty darn close when you compare their statistics.
Woodson's reputation will be gone in this game. But I think Randy helped this kid a lot. Just like Cutcliff helped Ainge. I think both of them will go to the NFL. The difference is Ainge will be at least 2nd round, and Woodson, at most 5th round.
