Yes - extremely funny. Moreno has been in the watch since preseason and was the favorite then - but is still considered to be one.

Stafford hasn't been much better than Wilson and they have a heisman candidate they're handing the ball off to a lot - so no.
Alabama is leading the world in rushing and Coffee has been twice as good as Moreno. You put Jones and Green in the same situation and they have very similar numbers IMO. I like Jones because he is more physical but you can't go wrong with either.

They were the best team in the country in the preseason too, we saw how that worked out. Who still considers him a candidate, you? Coffee is having a better year.

Many are. He's still top 10 because of his name and a few of his highlights - not really top 5.. the top 5 is dominated by Big 12 QBs.

Yes Jones is more physical and that's why you take Green 9 times out of ten if you're looking to the future. Green is taller and has ridiculous pass catching ability. Green will get stronger and more physical after a year or two in their weight program and he will separate from Jones who wasn't blessed with as much of his height and catching ability.

They're still both great players so no need to take offense - but I'm just looking at the obvious - Green has a higher ceiling.

Jones and Green are the same height and Jones is more athletic. Green has better hands and is a little better after the catch.

Jones- 6'4", stronger, better leap and a little faster.

Green- 6'4", best hands in conference, better after catch.

Both are and will be great but I'll take the more physical and athletic guy.

Green definitly has a better leap and is faster. You got your sources mixed up there. Green will be a Randy Moss when he bulks up a little more.

They're stretching Jones' height then because Green is taller.

And I realize Jones is more physical. They're both freshmen though so if we're only talking about THIS year then I can see why someone would pick Jones over Green.

Rivals combine has Jones at 41 inch vert and Green a 30 inch vert. Jones was .02 seconds faster in the 40 which is negligible so it is pretty even.

Green may be taller but it is not by much.

Jones will always be more physical than Green. Green isn't that type of player. They have different games and I prefer the more physical of the 2 is all.

Hmm - well its always seemed like in a football situation Green is the one that can really go get the ball and Jones was just a TO type player. I've seen Jones listed from 6'2-6'4 so he's probably about 6'3 - Green has always been listed at 6'4.

They do have different types of games - but it is easier to play more physical when you're physically stronger. Green's game could evolve with some muscle and could become ever more dangerous.. you never know really that's why I, personally, would take the higher ceiling.

It's all good. I prefer the more physical guy. Both will be great. If Jones had a QB worth a damn he would get a crazy amount of TDs in the redzone.

I dont understand the JPW hate. He hasn't been the greatest or anything... but isn't he about to break a lot of the major passing records at Bama? Kinda like the Foster situation - you don't think he's one of the best but has done well in his career.

He was 94th in the country last year in passing efficiency. If it wasn't for Alabama's stellar run game it would be in a similar place this year.

Both are great for freshmen. AJ Green has a higher ceiling than Jones because of his elite speed and body control. Jones i think will end up being the more complete receiver because of his natural size, speed, and strength. Julio plays extremely physical for a freshman receiver. AJ Green is more of a finesse type player that will do a lot of damage on outs, curls, posts, gos and smoke screens. Jones on the other hand can do it all and take the big hit across the middle with his size. AJ Green does the things I mentioned a bit better than Julio though. Green runs better routes and catches the ball better. Jones is a beast with the ball in his hands. AJ Green is a beast with the ball coming in. Its very hard to beat him in a jump ball. Julio has to work on catching the ball a bit cleaner for my taste. But Green has got to hit the weight room. One big hit from Berry and it may be all she wrote. Just a little info for the guys that haven't been really watching these players.

For one you act like he's breaking passing records like the ones set by the great ones in Tennessee history. Bama has always been a power running team. Heck they don't even have 5 receivers in the league.

And Tennessee hasn't been a running team? We got lucky and some kid named Peyton Manning landed on our doorstep and set ridiculous records. We've had some good QBs, yes - but breaking the passing records at any big name school is still impressive. We've always been a "running team" whether or not we run more.. that's also still the perception of Tennessee football even though we've been horrible at running this decade (minus the early years) - players and coaches still quote us as one of those teams.

His WRs were hurt for a good portion of the season to be fair. Main ones atleast.. (or I could be wrong and mixing up last year with 2 years ago.. not sure)

Hall played in all 13 games. Brown played in 10 of 13, missed Houston, Vandy, and WCU. Caddell played in the last 11 games, missed WCU and Vandy. McCoy played in the first 11 games but missed the last 2.

*Note: It doesn't exactly mean they were hurt. They might have played and not accumulated any stats.

That is a fairly healthy group of WRs. His #1 guy was healthy all year.
