Brown played in games but was hardly ever 100% and may not have played even half the snaps (in some of the games he was injured). I believe he was still pretty banged up for the Tennessee game but that didn't stop the JPW to Hall connection all day.

And Tennessee hasn't been a running team? We got lucky and some kid named Peyton Manning landed on our doorstep and set ridiculous records. We've had some good QBs, yes - but breaking the passing records at any big name school is still impressive. We've always been a "running team" whether or not we run more.. that's also still the perception of Tennessee football even though we've been horrible at running this decade (minus the early years) - players and coaches still quote us as one of those teams.

We had ole' Heath and Andy Kelly. They were pretty good. Plus we have a reputation as Wide Receiver U. So what can I say.

Like I said - we had some pretty good QBs. And we're hardly WR U... we've had a lot of good college WRs but that didn't translate into the pros for most of them. Is there even a #2 WR on a team from Tennessee anymore? Our RBs have been WAY more successful.

No - look at the stats. He has one more TD but less catches and less yards and ypc. Green has also made some breathtaking catches.

i do look at the stats and i've been far more impressed with Jones. Stats don't tell how good a player is.

If you want to look at just their play then I'd give the edge to Green definitely.. His pass catching ability on some catches have made my jaw drop. Reaching back across his body in the opposite direction of his running...

Its ridiculous. I look forward to watching him in the future - not because of his height or speed.. but I just wanna see what kinda pass he'll catch next.

Jones plays on the better team of course - so I'm sure seeing Bama dominate Georgia didn't really help peoples perspective of him compared to Jones.

Both are great for freshmen. AJ Green has a higher ceiling than Jones because of his elite speed and body control. Jones i think will end up being the more complete receiver because of his natural size, speed, and strength. Julio plays extremely physical for a freshman receiver. AJ Green is more of a finesse type player that will do a lot of damage on outs, curls, posts, gos and smoke screens. Jones on the other hand can do it all and take the big hit across the middle with his size. AJ Green does the things I mentioned a bit better than Julio though. Green runs better routes and catches the ball better. Jones is a beast with the ball in his hands. AJ Green is a beast with the ball coming in. Its very hard to beat him in a jump ball. Julio has to work on catching the ball a bit cleaner for my taste. But Green has got to hit the weight room. One big hit from Berry and it may be all she wrote. Just a little info for the guys that haven't been really watching these players.

I really don't know which one I would take. I really like Jeremy Maclin type of players that can do it in the return game as well. So if I had to pick I would pick AJ Green by a hair. Oh yeah here's the scouting report on both.
