I am sure UT would do or is doing the same. It happens all the time. My point being there is at least a chance he goes elsewhere otherwise he wouldn't be taking the trip to Ole Miss and other schools. I have never implied he was coming here just commenting on the notion he is a 100% lock to UGA

I think they were talking about Washington going to Ga as they have never been big on Dee. He's visiting lil Miss because they are the only D1 power5 to offer his brother a scholarship provided he comes along with him. I'm not sure what or why you brought up Ga being involved with D.

Does anyone have an update on this kid? Could provide some insight on where we think we stand with Washington.

We have two other "commits" but they aren't allowed to sign.
They could get dropped.

I made Dee one of my personal targets for this class a while back and appreciate you sharing your info from a much closer location. I think he fits right in to the makeup of the class signed to date in that regardless of stars, our staff has identified guys with differentiating physical tools. That does not provide a guarantee success, but does provide a higher ceiling potential. Don't push any of the sites normally, but highly recommend folks go read the Rucker article currently up on this class, especially his take on the non 4 star guys.

No. UT offered his brother a PWO spot, but they won't put him on scholarship just to get Dee. So if OM is willing to do that, they may have the upper hand.

He may not have a spot anymore because he has slow played his recruitment...he may very well end up at Ole Miss just because our space is limited and we are now looking for some big homeruns (Washington, Hardy, Clowney) GBO!

Guess they will have some decisions to make that will involve family preferences and abilitities to deal with cost... If both get scholly that will be tough to counter. If they get similar deal that UT has offered they would have to look at costs at each location for the PWO player.... Wish them the best regardless but I have made no bones I think Dee for sure can be a difference maker and want him here. Hoping that the fact they accepted our PWO offer shows a preference over other schools with similar deals. Could have just waited out the process. I also do not have a clue about what tuition costs and other benefits they can offer out of state PWO folks.

Our owner has been doing this stuff for 34 years, is a big Bama fan, he believes Pruitt will win championships at UT and also feels like Pruitt would turn Dee into a star in Knoxville. He's a great kid and I've said it before but he's a big fast strong coordinated balanced physical smart tough football player. I hope we get him, we'll probably speak with him again sometime after the holidays and will update accordingly.

*Edit* The bossman is going to watch him play basketball tonight so I may have more info sometime tomorrow.

Just my opinion. But he is the most underrated recruit in the country.
he's going to get even faster once he trains on campus. Day one impact at WR imo..
have to get him...

I like him more at WR than even the ones we signed yesterday.

This guy is a much better athlete than DW anyway. DW is only rated so high because he’s shockingly tall. People see 6’ 7.5” and they freak out.

Agree part of it is his height. But he will be a dominant player if he puts in the work. Tremendous athlete, high points ball, and at that height its a nice combo.

Bias of people because they think we don't get DW is funny. DW is one hell of an athlete at that size. Beckwith is a phenomenal athlete as well, but don't act like DW is only highly regarded because of his size. Watch the highlights. He deserves his 5* rating.
