'20 AL DE Jimari Butler (Nebraska commit)

I really don't understand how you Legions of Miserable souls stand yourselves. I am serious, if it makes you so unhappy that you have to come in here and crap all over our newest commit's thread, then why bother? Go find something to do that makes you happy.
Right? Those puppies aren’t going to murder themselves!

Everyone in here crying will be saying how great of a player he is when he gets bumped to a 4⭐️ In the final rankings. Just like they did with Roman Harrison and Jimmy Calloway.

He’s had 18.5 sacks, runs a 4.59 40 yard dash and holds double digit power 5 offers. And he’s only played football 3 months of his life. He’s more talented than Grimes, less of a head case than Davis and unlike Ojulari actually wants to be here. Keep crying

Imagine being such a miserable prick that you make sure everyone knows 2 mins after a kid who wants to be at UT commits.
It’s honestly embarrassing as a fan base and creates a negative impression that does nothing to help the recruiting efforts that they’re so upset about in the first place.

Not knocking the kid, in fact I'm glad he wants to be here, just sucks missing out on your two best DE prospects and going with fallback options, for the second year in a row.

That's just it. Crapping on this program is the only thing that make them happy. Being miserable is a way of life to some. I don't get it. Seeing this kid's film is exciting when you think about how little football he has actually played.

How’s he more talented than grimes? Just out of curiosity ? Harrison hasn’t done anything and looks great but don’t be surprised fans want blue chips on the d line. Huge weakness for us on the field. Needs immediate help.

Get Maryland type commits, get Maryland like results. Hope everyone is okay with 6-6 for the foreseeable future. And this is entirely the staff's fault. I'm not convinced winning against Georgia State and BYU would've changed anything. This was a mess since May.

Well remember in May, this team was coming off a 5-7 season. The slow start didn't help. But that said, it's unreasonable to expect the top talent to come just because this is "Tennessee." Just like a lot of people were disappointed with the coaching we saw on the field earlier this year, recruits saw the same thing and I would suspect some of the kids who are more proven talents don't want to take the risk of coming here and dealing with a potential coaching change (that now seems unlikely). Personally, I like the approach, if you ignore the star ratings on these prospects you will see these kids are physically elite and can be developed and they are wanting to come here to be developed. Look at it like this, You can teach footwork but you can't teach 6'5"

I would look at it like Tennessee basketball. Now that Barnes has shown he can develop 3 star talent, he is getting 5 star talent. I think if Tennessee wins out and looks good in a bowl, next year will be on track for a top 10 class.

If those number are correct then wow. Redshirt him next year and put him in the weight room and you may have truly found a diamond in the rough.

The guy playing in the NFL for the Patriots? Too bad his college days were wasted. Pruitt would have turned him into a top draft pick.

Read an article on 247 today about how Baylor and Penn state use analytics to take guys like this all the time. Freak athletes that are productive in high school. First thing I thought of when I saw this guy committed.

Again, it’s shocking how some of you all still look at stars. We’ve recruited a whole bunch of guys with stars next to their name this past decade and many haven’t done ish for this program. Let the professionals that are getting paid millions do the evals and development. It will pay off with this coaching staff.

Well! I’m not THERE yet but I want to get there.

Everybody in our program needs to sit down and watch the Georgia State game again.
After it’s over, CJP needs to stand up and say...”when we allowed that to happen, we gave all of our rivals a huge weapon against us in recruiting and we are feeling the effects of that. I take the blame...but that **** will never happen again...not on my watch”.
