Still believe my long standing theory that the NCAA will attempt to level the playing field WITHIN THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUPREME COURT DECISION by inviting every kid to get every valid NIL dollar they can get from any company or collective, BUT BUT BUT they will limit the number of dollars at each institution just like they limit COUNTERS today....
They will continue to sell the amateur model for the entirety of the NCAA in order to be able to require those getting money to complete a waiver that defines the amount of NIL money they are to receive. Fill out the waiver and you are good to go. The rest is just math, just like 85 is math. They can't put the genies back in the bottles, but they can make sure they are distributed and that a few crazy rich folks cannot dominate the scene. Worst case, if they get a raise that sends the school over the cap they get to keep the money and spend an NIL redshirt year, or take advantage of the easy transfer rules since the money cannot be linked to the institution. I have laid out a two tier system with two different caps, one for low end burger, wing, and T-shirt deals and one for those with deals over X. That way nobody has to sweat the little deals and the paperwork for the big deals will not require any significant groups to track.
I don't see anything in conflict with the court decision with this setup and every institution not at the top of the NIL money foodchain will vote for it. Would also put some reason in the amounts collectives offer as over paying would further limit the number of players they can sign tied to a specific school.
There you have it, the problems of the collegiate football world resolved.
