good thing to hear, but we all know how this will turn out & they will be rolling with the tide at the end of the day.
But we can up the bid that Bama has to pay for them. High-school kids all over the country are seeing what their market value is... and that's whatever the highest bidder is willing to pay

Is this kinda like when Kirby sent the 5* O-lineman on a “visit” to Knoxville, a few years back?
Somebody tweet Nick and let him know that paying players is legal now!
😒

Players have been taking visits to try to get more money from the team they want to go to for years. Difference now is Tennessee is becoming the leader in money a player can get. I am okay with us making AL, GA, OSU and Clemson have to pay more for each player they are taking which will weaken them eventually. And, who knows, if they get on campus we may be able to make it a battle. Having 5*s visiting is good PR, and the more that visit the better our odds of landing some.

James Smith, Carver , Defensive Line
Two players that have reached out and expressed a desire to come give Tennessee a look are Alabama prospects Jaquavious Russaw and James Smith from Montgomery. We will see if they make it to town in the next week or so. May be nothing but it’s worth watching. -VQ
NIL, IMMEDIATE SIGNIFICANT playing time, coached up by DL Rodney Garner, ELITE Training Facilities, Exciting Positive Family Heupel Culture, and NICO’s voice letting the crème de la crème in country know all about the rest.

Reading some of the negative comments about these 2 guys kicking our orange & white tires….if they DO show up. Gotta land them on the lot, hear the sales pitch in person, & give them a tailored walk around. IT TAKES THE FEEL OF THE WHEEL TO SEAL THE DEAL. It all starts with both feet planted on UT soil. Nothing can happen if that doesn’t 1st.

Seem to like Auburn too.

And they just went all the way to Miami.

Maybe they're truly testing the waters...or the offers...I reckon we show them an offer they can't refuse and build the DLine of the future 😁

I don't think a lot of you guys realize the buzz we have among recruits right now. Last year, a lot of people were saying the same things when all those 5 stars were visiting TAMU. I wouldn't discount legitimate interest so quickly here.
IMO, if they show up, there interested. Nothing against Knoxville it doesn't strike me as being on a teenagers bucket list of free trip, vacation destinations...

Edit: *they're..... 🤪

VolNation *your slipping.. 😎

By far, Knoxville beats Gainesville/Tuscaloosa/Auburn/Columbia/Starkville/CollegeStation/BatonRouge/Oxford/and whatever Missouri has....

It's all good if they're really serious and not just trying to start a bidding war for their services just to go to Bama anyway...
I would probably prioritize those that had already shown in interest in TN first.

I agree.......been to all of them and when my ex and I split in '82 we lived in K-Town and I stayed there for several more years. Best bass fishing of any locale I've seen except south Fla. You left out Athens and Lexington and a couple more.

And? UT is playing by the rules. I don't believe that's something Bama can say about their rise to power.

If UT pulls them because they like the staff, UT, K'ville, etc... and because they get a good NIL deal then so be it. We spent MANY years on the disadvantaged side of players being compensated in cash or in kind. I'm perfectly good with UT's NIL innovations.

No I agree I should have added more context in what I said but I was making fun of posters who didn’t think nil wasn’t a big reason

Some of our fans are pathetic. I don’t give a 💩 what it takes for us to get back to the top. I became “aware” of UT Football when I was about 7-8 years old shortly after the national title. Ever since then and during my time in college at UT, it has been nothing but pain and embarrassment being a UT fan. Whatever it takes to start pummeling UF/UGA/Bama again, DO IT.
